Help!! Locked out of radio on my new 2007 f430. I found the radio code but the radio says disabled and is running a countdown. What do I have to do to input the code?

Wait about an hour for the countdown to finish then enter the code number. Be very carful entering the code, or if a mistake is made you will have to repeat the wait for the countdown to complete. I got rid of the old Ferrari radio and replaced it with something more modern to avoid this snafu. You will have to keep the ignition on all that time or if turned off start all over. Go for a drive while it is counting down, and then it will announce to input the code.

Should I just keep the car idling for an hour? Or should I leave it plugged into the tender and just leave the ignition in the on position?

Don't idle it for an hour. Ignition on w the tender is a better idea.

Ignition on and on a tender would be fine, or drive it. I don't like to idle these cars any longer than necessary as this may damage the Cats I believe.

    I wouldn't idle a 302 ford for an hour.

The countdown is when you enter a lot of incorrect codes.

Hi anyone able to help me I’ve got a 430 but the radio says ‘device disabled to enable it, ignition must be switched on’ I’m a bit confused as the car is running while this happens

Do you have the radio code? if so, drive it around for an hour or so or leave ignition on with radio on to start the countdown to where you can enter the radio code. It is usually 4 digits. you have to be dead on accurate in the entry or it will recycle for another hour or so before it will accept another attempt at code entry. If you don't have the code i think there is a service or someone on the chat that can decode it from the serial number. You will have to use the search function to find out if there is someone still on the chat that can do that for you. If not, replace it with a modern up to date radio. There are several examples posted on the chat. Good luck.
