Max’s outlap at the 1st stop must have been pretty special.

What I thought RB messed up was doing a 2nd stop. But then again, what do I know, obviously, ha-ha.

I think if Mercedes do not win both in Austria - this will be much more likely title for RedBull.

I'll vote a dark horse for driver of the day. Sergio made a difficult race strategy work and work well. His was a quiet, but supremely-well-judged race.

Ferrari managed to shut themselves out, again.
Handed their spot in the constructors' to McLaren.

Once again, driving to the back.

I can't understand why the Ferraris didn't make the second stop for new tires, the pace of the car was a disaste.

Anybody know why Bottas did not pit and make a run at fastest lap? Really nothing to lose and gave Max an extra point.

They did have Leclerc make a second stop --- and put mediums on.
    ... Which dropped him to 16th ...
... Which is where he stayed, stuck between the Alfas.

They installed the "boat anchor" option again.

Embarrassing to see the Ferraris acting as mobile chicanes, being passed by everyone.

I thought that was guaranteed: 10 sec penalty for passing a Merc. :p

the car destroys tires. High speed corners, already a Ferrari weakness, is exacerbated by the tire wear. Much work to do….

I see reliability being well for both. Honda PU appears to be reliable. Once a full win or more is between Max and LH this is a done deal. RedBull will need full failures in multiple races for Mercedes to overcome such a deficit in points. I do not see Max making Vettel style mistakes now.

Mercedes decided not to give up track position. This from Toto. Mercedes felt Perez might get a penalty.
