I thought it was like next week, so how much longer do you reckon? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Customs is the unknown. Took a whole month for me. My car arrived in NYC at the end of March but wasn’t released until the end of April. But even with that, it took just over 6 months from order in mid-Oct 2020.
Do all new owners still get a little car, dicast model of theirs upon delivery. What other goodies do come too? Cover, trickle, a key holder I been told. Anything else? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That is correct. Customs is a definitely unpredictable delay factor. Trip is usually 2 weeks. then dealer keeps the car for 1-2 weeks for PDI and detailing. This phase is the hardest and although is the shortest, it feels the longest. Particularly when the car makes it to port.
The Diecast replica is apparently still a thing. However, I have not seen any F8 ones, only 488. So far what I have received is the wooden box/humidor for the chrome F8 model and the extra key.
Don’t worry he’s still at least 1-2 months out. Best case scenario. Hopefully, they have gotten their act together at the port.
Well, I think that I have had the quickest build cycle for an F8 at 3.5 months, but since my final production photo I have been stuck in transportation limbo - status 90 for 2 months now. I was at least able to get my garage floor completely refinished and I spend my evenings looking at the various photos in my new Ferrari magazine! I have the longest list of errands to run - just waiting for the car to arrive so that I have an excuse to get out in the evenings.
Based on my dealer saying my F8 departed Italy around June 9th and my informal research on this thread, it looks like the most likely ship is the Vienna Express. It is scheduled to port at NJ June 24th. I am optimistic that this is the one. It is somewhere in the North Atlantic presently.
I was just going to ask you on the other thread (black roof) if she’s arrived yet! Not long to go now. Will be worth the wait!
Looks like I’m on the same boat too! Great to know it’ll port on the 24th. Image Unavailable, Please Login
This is a decent website to track vessels - - https://www.vesselfinder.com/ Be prepared for a potentially ridiculously long wait at the port in NJ. I believe that my car has been sitting in the port longer than the ride over from Italy. Anticipating delivery to the dealer this week. And, once at the port there is no easy way to get updates. One would think that there would be a smooth streamlined system in place but that would take away all of the fun and anticipation.
I don’t have the exact date but it was approximately third or fourth week of May. I received my third photo on April 15th. When I called the dealer I was told the car was already on the water and could anticipate actually getting the car mid to late May. My guess is my car has been sitting in Newark for about one month. Now I am told that the dealer should actually receive the car this week. I will post once confirmed.
My dealer just told me my car is at the NJ Port, now the hardest part of the wait, knowing its here, but not here!
Any idea of the date your car made it to port? I spoke to my dealer today and still no delivery to the dealership. I am on + 4 weeks at Newark. I told my sale rep I can drive to the port in 45 min and just take the car from there! Four to five weeks of paperwork seems like a lot of time to me, but I continue to enjoy the waiting experience!
The car shipped on the 14th of last month, I do not know travel time so I do not know how long it has been at the port. My dealer did however say it will be to him either late this week or early next week, hope so. I need to wrap the car and ship it out to CA for the Pebble Beach Ferrari rally, timing is tight.
