Beautiful car, I still like a bit more the f8. What’s Is ISOT’s background, nor familiar with him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I’m going to need a flame suit for this post but so be it. I’ve now shown the 296 to 4 different “non car” people. Two men, two women. Each said, “that looks just like a corvette”.
ISOT is one of our extraordinarily talented artists, gifted with the ability to forecast the look of new models through mesmerizing renders.
Non car people who have seen it, the reaction is " Looks OK. HOW MUCH DOES IT COST ? The photo of the car in yellow does not do it justice. Horrible photos.
That's quite an imagination they have. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Very nice pictures, thanks for posting. The rear is very original and so nicely executed with clever details and great surfacing. Love also the perforated panels similar to what is used on the front grille of the Roma. Especially in yellow it looks like the sort of original design you’d see on concept cars from the Torino carrozzerie in the 70’s.
Saluti
Honest question: What car is not a marketing car in your opinion? MC20, although probably a great car, is really mostly a marketing tool for Maserati and is in essence the Alfa project (with Alfa, ex-Ferrari engine) rebranded Maserati.
Super photos! Does anyone know how much room there is for luggage. My biggest disappointments with the SF90 is that there is NO room for any sort of luggage, bag, briefcase, nothing… strictly a day car just for out and about. I really how the 296GTB gets some room for driving trips.
The Rivolta painted on face mask is indeed revolting - complete vandalism on what was an otherwise acceptable looking car. I suspect whoever was behind this godawful look was also behind Ferraris ridiculous star wars fashion wear display of unsaleable garments.
Agree yellow is (surprisingly) grossly unflattering on this car. It seems to make the shape look bloated and rather unresolved. It looks like a lifesized plastic toy.
The Pista’s design wowed out of the box and is less color dependent upon retaining that wow factor. This is how 296 should have been - as in WOW!!! - 296 definitely does not have the same level of WOW as Pista…..and by rights being a new model should have. Otoh 296 will require varying degrees of time adjusting to - depending upon the person - and will require careful color choice to create the right impact visually. Using the yellow example, the car fails to impress as is the case with that totally ridiculous looking Rivolta face painting arrangement which is a complete utter visual catastrophe. Clearly Ferrari have not yet managed to dispatch (fire) the clown who thought this stupid clown nosed look was somehow going to enhance SF90’s failed design - now transferring this fail onto the 296 in a bid to create some form of association to the Sf90 creating another fail again. So many fails…omg when is Ferrari going to wake up!
Agreed, the "WOW" factor of the Pista is still unparalleled. F8, SF90 and 296 are nice looking models from certain angles, but the Pista simply got everything right (for my tastes). Also agreed about that. I guess it could look better in some shades of grey (such as Ferro or Canna di Fucile).
