The MC 20 is a car that responds to a clear concept, that of making a sports car with modern sports car technologies, in terms of engine and chassis, with a fluid and timeless design.
They are not offering customers hp hybrids that they cannot and do not know how to use.
The two mistakes they made were still too much weight, because they provided the dimensions necessary for the complete electrification, and an unworthy interior layout.
To drive, it is an exceptional car, and really "fun to drive", not a stupid marketing phrase!
In relation to quality price, even if it should have been marketed less expensive, it is 1000 times more homogeneous and more in conformity with a modern sports car with its co-constrained, than the 296, which remains a "disposable product" !!!

No. I’m more that willing to to say so myself. He just beat me to it.

    Thanks.

And I love different opinions especially if I learn something from them that can help me rethink my own.

    Cool?

296 GTB being driven flat out. It looks very quick and extremly agile. I think it will certainly fit the brief of "fun to drive"

And that's not a good thing. To me the new vette is a mish mash of several cars.

I think they were referring to a more nostalgic image of the Vette

Yes. I attended the public debut of the C8. I'm quite aware it has a mid-engine. Now, as for the point of my post and my comment. When I said, "That's quite an imagination they have," I was referring to the people that said the 296 looks just like a Corvette. I left it to the reader to interpret whether I was being sarcastic or not. I then displayed images of a previous generation Corvette along with an image of a 296. This was to illustrate how people who are not car enthusiasts could casually look at certain images of the 296 and come to the quick conclusion that it appears like a Vette. One must remember that in the United States, in most larger communities, it is a fair estimate that you will see a Corvette on the roads about every 10 minutes (maybe even less). Most of those, of course, will be of previous generations, ie, what most people are used to seeing. I'll leave it the observer, but I don't think it takes any stretch of the imagination to consider the images I posted and then to realize that a person vaguely interested in automobiles could say the two cars look similar. There have been some instances in the past where this same type of comparison between a Corvette and a particular Ferrari have been made and, again, to the casual, disinterested, non-enthusiast, the quick judgement that the Ferrari looked like a Vette was made. If we are not intellectually dishonest, and can put ourselves in their shoes, it is possible to see how that conclusion was drawn. Do I think the 296 looks like a Corvette? Of course not! Do I understand how my fellow Americans who couldn't give two $#!Ts about cars could make that observation? Yes.

My questions would be , are they making the 296 in a convertible ? Or a targa top ? Also I wonder how much smaller is the cockpit is compared to the F8 ?

My guess is they will copy the SF90 spider design which allows for some glass over the engine.

Does any body have the external dimensions yet? I would like to know how ‘compact’ the car actually is. The lanes around here are quite narrow....
