I'm delighted to have found some pics of a verde Roma. Since the first day I saw that car, I was convinced green would suit the car pretty well Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
FNA threw a wonderful test drive event in Malibu over the weekend, and I was pleasantly impressed. We drove through the canyons of Malibu and I must say it handled quite well through the turns- it is playful and agile. It has plenty of power, and it was easy to break the rear end loose. The interior takes some getting used to, not a fan of the haptic buttons yet. I’m strongly considering one, to complement my V12’s. I’ll likely trade my Vanquish for a Roma. Not sure what color to spec it… Thank you Ferrari Westlake and Emanuele for organizing a wonderful event! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Just got the call from the dealership. Mine arrives the 30th of June. Customs cleared. Pick up on the 3rd. Counting minutes. Completely new to the Ferrari brand so I’m both excited and intrigued. Will share photos when I see her.
I can’t wait to see more photos. I love this shade of red. Mugello? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Sounds like a great time. I wasn't too fond of the haptic controls either on my extended test drive either. I was very happy with the way it drove and the power delivery. I went into it with very low expectations of sound as the F8 lacks it, but was pleasantly surprised by the exhaust note. It's not bad at all. I just placed my order for the Roma and the wait begins. Luckily, my dealer got me a December production slot and expect delivery in Jan/Feb.
There have been quite a number of photo's of the Roma in various shades of Verde in this thread over the last 8 months. Agree that the sound was pleasantly loud and aurally stimulating, though not F1 high pitched. I was told it’s about 8 mos to produce. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Great to hear that delivery is close. What colour exterior have you gone for? Let us know your opinion after a few weeks of ownership. I’m completely new to the brand too, so I’m equally excited and intrigued too. I received my 2nd photo this weekend, it’s now painted! How long ago did you get your painted photo? Just so I can have an idea of timescale until delivery.
Just placed my Roma order! Dealer quoted 6-7 months, so hopefully that’s the case! Tdf blue with cuoio seats and lower half of interior. Did passenger display, Adas, surround view, Apple carplay and hifi was debating on the shields but got them in the end, got the star rims with the chrome (I’m guessing it’s more of a polished look ) Very excited ! This’ll be my 2nd Ferrari. Currently driving a portofino.
Hello - looking at ordering a Roma but had some questions regarding the actual practicality and importance of some of the driving aids. From looking at older posts, there seems to be a mix between fans of the ADAS Full Pack - both looks and funcitonality. Looking at descriptions, it seems that getting Back Radar, Electrochromic Mirrors (required for Back Radar) and Surround View is plenty enough usability technology for the car assuming you aren't asking for driving aid on the highway. Is this a fair assumption? Or does it make sense to go all in - ADAS + Surround? In all my previous cars, basically only really used back cameras during parking.
I did not go with the full ADAS. seemed like more than I needed. I ordered the options you listed- Back Radar, Electrochromic Mirrors (required for Back Radar) and Surround View. Plus I do not like the softball size sensor and cut out of the front grill.
Thank you Crom for your response. I am leaning towards your options as well. Perhaps you haven't received the car yet but if you have, how has your experience with the options you got? Blind spot warning + view in tight parking spaces seems helpful in theory but they are indeed expensive options.
I just went Status R10... Options locked and assembly is ready to start. Build should be completed mid Sept. with a delivery sometime in Nov. I ordered the car Nov. of last year. Here are the options I ordered: Color: Grigio Titanio Metallizzato Painted BRAKE CALIPERS: Yellow Sport Exhaust SCUDERIA FERRARI' SHIELDS MAGNERIDE DUAL MODE SUSPENSION BACK RADAR ELECTROCHROMIC REARWIEW MIRROR CF Stering Wheel EMPH - Grigio Chiaro (Horse Stitched On Headrest) Daytona Seats CHROME PAINTED STD WHEELS colored saftey belts COLOURED SPECIAL STITCHING COLOUR UPON REQUEST FOR PIPING COLOR LEATHER INTERIOR INSERTS Apple CarPlay Hi Power HiFi System SURROUND VIEW STW1 - Charcoal (Coloured Steering Wheel) ALUMINIUM DRIVER&PASS.FOOTREST CARBON FIBRE UPPER TUNNEL TRIM
I went with the ADAS system. I wanted the Back Radar which you have to have the eletrochromic mirrors and I wanted the Pre-Collision (Emergency Braking). Those options would have cost $8960. For $9112 full ADAS, I would get the FCAM for $152. Just made too much sense. Here is the breakdown. ADAS ($9,112) includes: • FCAM - Advanced front driving camera $2,076 (TRAFFIC SIGN RECOGNITION AND LANE DEPARTURE WARNING) • ACC1 - Front radar with ACC $4,843 (ADAPTIVE CRUISE, EMERGENCY BRAKE, AUTO EMERGENCY BRAKE W/PEDESTRIAN DETECTION) • BRAD - Back radar $2,767 • MIR3 - Outer electrochromic rear view mirrors $1,350
Judging by the activity and responses on this thread, Roma seems to be a much bigger hit than the Californation, California T or the Portofino. I am guessing they will sell more Romas than Cali and CaliT combined!
Yes, that's right, its basically a $5k difference of whether you want "everything" or just surround/back/electrochromic. When you boil it down to that, it's not that big of a difference. I'm still primarily just questioning the usefulness of the front camera items (seems nice to have, but I never had it) and the look (box square at bottom) it provides. Seems pretty clear though so far that at least surround and back are a must.
Front sensor really looks out of place on the design, I went for went for back radar/ surround/ electrochromic so I could get the as many safety features as possible without that front box.
Thanks Dan - I think this is what I am leaning towards to as well. Thank you for your feedback. Did you receive the car? How do you like the back radar/surround?
