Hamilton deserves more respect

I would dislike LH at Ferrari same as I dislike him now. I disliked Vettel before and during his time at Ferrari. I did respect Vettel's decision to leave RB and test himself by trying to build a team at Ferrari, and that opened my mind to liking him. But that didn't exactly work out in the end...

 

Six years of a sub 70% win rate against one's teammates for supposedly the greatest driver of all time? No wonder those guys had to go and the mediocre Bottas was permanently installed.

 

Who beat Button 2/3 times? and Button is nothing nmore than a good driver, not a great one, and certainly no driving god! same aplies to Nico...

Hamilton hopes FIA rule: 'Maybe that will level the playing field'

Lewis Hamilton was hopeless against Max Verstappen during the Grand Prix of Styria. The Dutchman started first and then was under no attack from his competitor, who drove in second place throughout.

The seven-time world champion was impressed by Verstappen afterwards, and Hamilton thinks the rear wing plays an important role in the performance, he said in the press conference. "Naturally they have that really good wing that bends, which they’ve had most of the year. I think they’ve been developing it for, as far as I’m aware or what I’m told, for quite a long time, which we haven’t, so that would definitely be part of it."

Yet Hamilton remains confident. "If we’re not going to develop and improve our car for the rest of the year, this is the result you’re going to see, because, as I said, they’ve really eked out performance in these last few races, wherever it’s been, whether it’s been in France with the engine or the new wing, whichever it is. But there’s another TD (technical directive) coming out for the wings. I don’t know if they’re stopping the bendiness or not but maybe that will level the playing field."

And maybe IF the rules were changed during his dominance then maybe it would level the playing field and other teams would have a chance??

 

I agree now that things aren’t going his way he gonna cry about it. Maybe it was really the car because an excellent driver will win no matter what he has. One thing that was told to me is it’s not the car it’s the driver! I’m sure he start posting that the world is against him blah blah blah. Time for a new world champ sorry Lewis but it’s time for you to go! Looks like max is gonna take it and be well deserving of it!

The phrase, "level the playing field," suggests that there is a disparity in fairness.

Based on the way you all go on about him, you probably believe he can!

 

Everyone’s talking as if he’s already lost the championship. That’s a big mistake because he’s only 16 points behind. I don’t think he’s one of the ten best drivers in history, but I wouldn’t underestimate the Hamilton/Mercedes combination this year again.

 

He must be the sorest loser of all time. 7 years of complete one sided domination from his team, not a peep. And another TD for the rear wings? Why not the fronts still?! FIA is not biased, my ass.
