customers will get used to v6 hybrid just as they did turbos in 488, lack stick shift in 458, etc. plus many just want newest ferrari regardless of what it is. 296 will outsell the f8 by wide margin

From another thread 202 ltr plus 112 ltd 'rear bench capacity' - not sure where that fits for useability but its double SF90 plus much larger bench but more than 10 % smaller trunk than 488

I was told production will begin soon on the 296 and expect European deliveries early next year. My rep predicts US deliveries by mid next year
If true, there will be some F8 arriving at the same time as the 296. I would hate that if I ordered a F8.

Why? I would much prefer an F8 to the 296 and feel the guy getting the 296 would hate my gorgeous V8 car being delivered next to his V6 toaster.

Oh I wouldn’t be surprised if there are several people didn’t feel this way, but the fact remains the F8 will fall to second place in Ferrari’s sports car line up and that will probably have a negative impact on resale values for the car. I don’t like that marketing strategy.

Again I disagree those of us (there are many, many many) who have no interest in a V6 or hybrid will keep the values of the last Mid Engine all ICE V8 Ferrari supercar values strong.

The F8 will be just fine.

Time will tell I suppose. If my dealer is any indication there is significant demand for the 296. First year allocations are gone. In fact, one guy is selling his F8 Spider on consignment with the dealer to secure his place in line.
Personally I’m not too far off from your position. I’m concerned about Ferrari’s ability to manufacture a relatively troubled free hybrid. I might actually go for the C8 Z06 instead (never thought I would seriously consider a Vette).

What does that marketing bull…. of ‚compactness‘ mean? The car is as large as a 488 is. It is not a compact sports car as a 355 was.

Well he is right about the sales though. They will make more and sell more than f8

That’s harsh because the 296 is also good looking and the stock f8 can’t be heard

There are some decent exhaust options now for the F8.

Indeed but honestly none will sound like my old testarossa,355 or ff…for me it’s all about keeping the warranty ;)
Right now I have a build for a f8 which that 296 is creating confusion on;)
