Well.....that's you opinion. As long as the debate doesn't break any rules and that debate stays within the context, they can have at it. I would suggest to ignore it if I was you.

The facts are that some people don't like Hamilon, and will go to any length to discredit him, dismiss his success, attack his personality, etc ... Everything is good for them, insults, caricature, twisting facts, spinning comments, or bringing conspiracy theories that don't stand close examination.
Maybe- I don’t know the all history but would prefer as much as possible we stick to racing. I mean even if Hamilton had some luck/fia help etc he still is a great talent, he is no Damon hill to me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
FWIW I don't think anyone disagrees with that notion. Few are saying that Hamilton isn't a very capable driver indeed. The issue is, if one says Michael/Senna/Max/Alonso is better, or anything negative to His Lewisness at all, apparently that's equivalent to saying he sucks and it's all just the car and Lewis sucks bla bla bla. Oh and lets not forget, to think just that also makes you racist. FWIW pt2, there are some people here that do give Lewis a lot of praise but at least keep reality in check, and I always get along with those I think. Yourself and @ricksb for example. It's those that can't comprehend a single compelling argument that are the issue.
Fair enough. I give credit where it’s due. Even if u take his Mercedes years out , he would still be a formidable talent, just like Max is. Only a selected few make it to the top and Lewis made it with less than most. I don’t think he was that poor but certainly he had to overcome a lot which is remarkable in itself. Let's step back and look at his track record. He spent a decade in the fastest car, most seasons it was fastest by a wide margin. He only had one legitimate challenger during most of that time, and that challenger was his teammate. Yet, he lost twice to his teammates, neither of which was a remarkable talent, one of which even scored more points than Hamilton over his tenure. Not twisting anything, no conspiracy, no insults, etc. Hamilton is a solid driver. But, IMO Hamilton gets far more respect than he has earned. He strikes me as a guy who believes his own press.
1. He did not have the fastest car for a decade. 2. Two other drivers have had the Mercedes, why are they not multiple champions?
Most WDCs have been beaten by their team mate at some point. Look at the stats, it happenned to Schumacher, Button, Hill, Prost, Senna, Mansell, Lauda, etc ... That doen't prove a thing; a driver has to be assessed over his career, not over one year, even less over one race. I also don't understand that insistance on points; surely it's wins and podiums that matter in a palmares.
Actually KTU, it’s the other way around. You and few other on this forum who are Hamilton fans seem to think he is the greatest of all time and any mistake he makes it’s do to other factors. He could commit murder and you still think he is great. Most of us on this forum who are Schumy fans acknowledge his faults. I personally think Schumacher is one of the greatest. However I am a Ferrari fan first and will support the team no matter how bad things are.
If you don’t realize that people are not fans of your idol because he’s proven to be a whiny, ungrateful, spoiled and unlikeable character with a G-d complex, and you would prefer to believe it’s based on other factors—similar to your disdain and ridicule of everything Italian or Ferrari—the problem is clearly in your mind and not in others’ souls. If on the other hand you believe otherwise, show the proof of your convictions and if it gets you banned well you obviously didn’t do a good job at proving your point.
You might have me mistaken for another poster. I never said Hamilton was the greatest, only he is among the greatest ever.
Yeah people are not fans of Hamilton. No team will keep him around, he has no followers on social media, no celebrities and friends ever visits the races, he can't even get any outside endorsements.
My issue is that the unfounded accusations made on this forum do a disservice to a guy like Willy T. Ribbs, who was ACTUALLY hated and discriminated against due to the color of his skin. If you haven’t seen him in “Winning” or “Uppity,” I HIGHLY recommend both. I’m sure there are lowlives out there who dislike Hamilton because of his skin color, but I haven’t seen any evidence of that here.
I don't bekieve in the GREATEST OF ALL TIME concept, and said so many time. Comparing drivers of different eras is like comparing apples and pears. It's ridiculous. Each season brings its best driver of the year in F1.
