I don't think its a factory color. Other's can offer insite on how ordering special colors occured. Either case, Ferrari would not have painted the bumpers.

That certainly looks like a repaint to me. What does the paint-tag (under the lip of the rear engine hood) say?

There isn’t any sticker. I found only this code: 479

The "479" is the assembly line number. Many of your car's components will have this number so that assembly line workers know which parts go on which car. An example is the door which may have that number labeled with a piece of masking tape.

Regarding the question of paint, the little red square with the 479 may offer a clue as to whether the car was repainted or not. Is the red color of the 479 square the same color as the car?

It’s been repainted. If you look at the sail panel where it meets the rear quarter there should be a fine line of black sealer showing. This has none.

that said, this is a very nice 308! :)

Also, weren’t the 84 QV’s similar to the 85 in that the “spoiler” was vinyl not painted?

The headlight and lid louvers should be anodized black as well, here they are painted.

Well I sure missed that. Thanks for the closer photo. I simply don’t know.
Would be interesting to look at the assembly sequence number on the left frame rail inside the engine bay that Brian had pointed out, and see what color is under that piece of tape.

Only on U.S versions; this car looks "Euro" to me (see the exhaust configuration for instance), and "Euro" do not have headlight and lid louvers anodized in black, these are body color.
That being said, looks very much a repaint to me.

I expect that this confirms it has been repainted.

As I understand it, the assembly number area is (original) body color because the factory painted the body first, they then masked the engine area and painted the black.

    You have a nice car!
