Case in point. Here's a photo of the beautiful Ferrari 308:

Are you not mesmerized? Of course you're not. And no time in reality has the 308 ever looked like that. In person, you would never see that. What you would see is something closer to this:

I remember my 308 was very difficult to photograph and capture what I was actually seeing. In person, it's a very, very pretty car. In photos, not always.

The Ferrari employee who approved this marketing photo should be reassigned or fired.

It's not that the photo is distorted or showing an inaccurate 2D view from that angle, it's that it misrepresents, and in my opinion, in a terrible way, how the car will actually be seen by the human eye in person. How do I know this? The videos of the car, both factory and now dealerships' guests', do not show a car that remotely appears like the one in that image. That being the case, Ferrari...in possession of the car and knowing full well how it appears..should have looked at that photo and immediately discarded it.

A great example! I've always thought the best photos of the Testarossa are direct, low side views, or direct, low rear views. Otherwise, the photos very much miss the presence and actual lines of the car.

Should we wait for the Spider?

This rendering found on the internet really makes me want to wait for the Spider to buy it!

    What do you all think?

    Want....

If they do the top like the SF90 where it has some glass in the back, that would be pretty awesome as well.

Totally agree with you, I don't know why but this rendering really caught my eye.... I find it just perfect (in my opinion).

Its got "softer humps" behind the seats than most. I have no idea if they can do this though. If you look at the coupe engine compartment, the 2 turbo intakes are right under the surface of the rear deck facing upwards.

Well I decided to put a deposit this morning for the coupe. I really liked the f8 but I wanted once in my life something really new. Will see what I get in 18 months!
In the meantime time I’ll enjoy 355 and TR;)

I believe the side air opening to be nicer. The sharp opening does flow for me. Thats why i loved the 360 over the 430.

Each to their own as there are many that will love the 296 and have already got in line.

What im not convinced at all is the FACT.

How many threads will be started with Electrical problems, battery issues , Tender etc etc. Until Ferrari genuinely has at least 5 years under its belt with regards to Hybrid i would never get in line no matter how beautiful.

Fair point but I think they do have 5+ years of experience, cf la Ferrari

Therefore, it's true that the engine is positioned very low - over the engine there is all the space necessary for the roof. But it is also true that there is a vertical vent for heat around the body-colored plaque. I'm not sure how the line was handled on the Spider, which I imagine is ready. I think they will opt for an RHT like on the F8/812GTS and not a DINO/308/348 style removable hard top. I expect they to change something on the hood. Surely the transparent glass part will change..from what I understand, the big problem with this V6 was managing the heat and cooling, placing vents for the air

Interesting how this red AF car has all the pops and crackles but the videos of the silver AF car and the yellow non-AF there are no pops at all. Wonder if it’s a different exhaust or if it has to do with what mode the car is in?

i just don't know how people are signing non refundable deposits- almost all dealers in fl have that- and plop down 15k sans knowing msrp. there is a BIG diff between a starting price of 280 and 320k. is ego really THAT powerful to create wrecklessness. i know that for many people that difference is significant.

These initial deposits are 100% refundable - until you get your allocation. My dealer has been given 10 cars for year 1 and has 8 deposits down so far. Not sure how that compares to F8 (I put my deposit on F8 the day after the reveal and I was #3)

Try Ferrari of Ft. Lauderdale. They have a $10K refundable deposit.
