Good thing you didn’t write GOAT, lest some of his highly sensitive fans might think you were making fun of him… as was the case not too long ago. ;)

He has had the consistency and talent to win multiple titles. Seb took a winning car and lost with silly unforced errors. Seb is the utter contemporary to LH. 2 titles lost due to his literal driving and emotional failure. LH won those by making fewer mistakes.

So LH is not undefeated. Thats about the norm. Name an undefeated F1 driver. He has won titles and races in different teams.

He had Lauda personally recruit him. Lauda.

    Nothing else need be said.

I don’t know about two, but definitely one. I think it’s pretty indisputable that Hamilton is the superior driver. When Vettel was winning, Alonso said Hamilton was the best and Hamilton said Alonso is the best.

Max, FA and Vettel all appear to feel the same. They should. Its a welcome and small comraderie among them. Its fun to watch all of them. Max will certainly pose a challenge to LH title's with sufficient machinery from RedBull or another team. I see Charles, Norris and George as well with that potential. On the outside possibly Sainz for a title. Alot of talent within the starting grid. Gasly as well. Fun times for us.

What would be amazing is the top teams having 3 cars. There would be more tactics and would eliminate haas:)

LOL, I don’t think you’ll get an argument that HAM is better than VET but that’s not a very high standard for establishing him as even the best of the last few years.

Everyone knew that even when Vettel was winning, the Mercs had a bunch of margin which they showed with their late race pace or fight-backs through the field when they had issues.

Also the fact that someone like Bottas accumulated the number of poles and wins he has talks to how dominant a car HAM has had over the last years.

Not anyone's fault for a good car. Not 1 driver is at fault. You have that you should win. LH does. I see no controversey.

Right...And the same happens for other drivers. Alonso, Vettel, Kimi, Max, Senna, Prost. Still waiting on you bringing a shred of evidence this is all race based as you implied.

+1. Uppity on netflix was a great and insightful watch. A shame his deal fell apart. Ecclestone was seriously pissed about that.

I don't think MB will win this year, the Red Bull has the edge. As a fan of F1 the biggest news of this season will be if Lewis gets he 100th win. The only driver with 100 poles and 100 wins will look pretty impressive in the history books. Stuck at 7 championships and tied with MS is not a bad place to be with your name forever tied to MS in every conversation that comes up (but with more wins and poles for the same amount of F1 starts).

Hamilton is a great driver and also had the luck or smarts to move to the right team at the right time. Of course McLaren spotted him early and he earned that spot. But he jumped to Merc at a time when most thought he as nuts to do so.

He wasn't nuts. He was crazy like a fox.

You don't win and have that many poles by accident. 99% is all him.

Although the reality is Anthony provided everything Lewis needed and Ron Dennis mentored him.
Lewis got more than most !

I do agree that Ron is the one who really gave him the opportunity going way back before F1. But Lewis still had talent. Ron was not the guy who just dished out favors for no return. He was only interested in winning.

Don't insult Niki, Elton looks like a toad in terms of personality when compared to lauda. Lauda was one of the best ever to set and develop a car, elton barely manages to find the right button without help from Bono!

Fangio was also good at being at the right place at the right time.

Mmmm... different era, different situation entirely. Hamilton moving was not the same as Fangio going from Maserati to Mercedes.

In fact drivers could jump mid season.

In fact many drivers didn't have contracts in those days and were freelance, just like teams didn't participate to all the GPs every season.

Exactly. Its not the same as Hamilton signing a long term contract with Mercedes when leaving McLaren. Hamilton had no idea how good Mercedes would be. At the time McLaren was the superior team.

Alonso probably has made the worst choices ever for a really good driver.

Yeah I think Alonso had definitely an extra title in him.
I think he would do better than sainz at Ferrari. Not a bad driver this sainz for sure but I’m not sure why they chose him
