As is well known Cavallino (magazine and event) was sold to Canossa Events in Italy. They have now expanded into Europe and held their first Cavallino Concours d'Elégance at Casa Maria Luigia, home of Massimo Bottura in Modena, on Saturday 3rd July 2021. Below are some pix of this new event. There were 30 classic Ferraris in total of which 26 were judged in five different classes, by 11 judges.

Beautiful. Is that Massimo’s residence or the hotel property he restored a couple of years ago?

I like the informal presentation. I hope they can preserve that.

Not the hotel (which is in another part of Modena) but it has a few rooms for selected guests.

Once the Concours was over on Saturday most participants drove in convoy into the city of Modena, where the Ferraris were displayed.
The new 296 GTB was also shown. The whole event was part of the Motor Valley activities last week in and around Modena.

    Yes.
And the other question is why was the mechanic not behind the wall?
    Unbelievably tragic.

Look like the car surged at the last moment when the anti-stall must've kicked in.

Unless it was running a Monaco-only steering rack, it makes sense such a modern F1 car wouldn't be able to easily negotiate a turn of that tight of a radius.

Well I was about to write that it looked nice being a more informal-looking gathering, but the video of the F1 car shows what that kind of thing can lead to as well. Still, it looked like a great event and a fantastic showing. Hope they do more like this - maybe get rid of the demo runs in tight streets.....

What is the story with the pale yellow (?) Daytona Spyder? I looked up it's history but there was nothing... thanks in advance.

    14463.
    Bianco Polo Park 20-W-152.
    Not pale yellow.
    Originally a U.S. Version.
Some fire damage in 1983 when owned by Prince Bandar Bin Sultan Al Saud, member of the Saudi royal family who kept the Spider in London.
Restored in 2017/2018 by Zanasi, smog equipment and other stuff removed, now a "European" version. Apparently red book certified now. I didn't personally check as I was judging another class.
Owned by Mr. K. since at least 2017.
You saw the car at Retromobile 2019 (Hödlmayer) and 2020 (Auxiètre & Schmidt).

Ah yes that one. Thanks for the history Marcel, that explains the long gap, pity they waited so long. Greetings from Geneva.
