Hi All. I bought a 488 with a clear wrap and am not sure how most people are caring for them and if they are waxing them. The car is entirely wrapped. My existing California was not wrapped so I am looking for advice other then from UTUBE.
    Any help is much appreciated.

I treat mine like paint but avoid harsh or abrasive chemicals. I have gotten into the habit after each drive to use a waterless wash applying and drying with microfiber towels. It removes dust and light dirt picked up from the drive and most products leave behind a detailer-type gloss after using a microfiber towel to dry. This extra gloss enhances the depth of the shine on the film. Just follow the directions. Obviously, driving in the rain or if it gets "dirty" requires a traditionally wash. A typical waterless wash cleaning takes me about 30 minutes.

I would put a ceramic coating over that wrap.

Avery Dennison sell a wrap cleaner and sealant that I have been using for 5 years. It was recommended to me be the person who wrapped my car. You can find it on Ebay. Works Great!!!

Are you aware you should remove clear coat at the 5 yr mark post application? This is an expensive proposition as personally I have never optioned to do this. More bang for the buck if desired to ceramic the top, sides , rear & bonnet, then just clear coat the Bumper & surround. Even if you do the 5 yr remove& reapply you run the risk of removing paint.

With many Ferrari’s sitting in garages and under covers for 300+ days a year (not exposed to UV light often), is this still the case?

Most clear bras, wraps, etc. have 10 year life if it is a recent product like Xpel or Suntek. The product technology is far and away better than it was 10 years ago.

Yup! Have had many a discussions with highly rated individuals who apply film, ceramic firms & independent highly rated Ferrari painter. I would suggest to you do the investigation yourself as you will find quickly answers to the questions posed. My 15 458 which has the bonnet, front bumper & fascia nearing that point now at 5yrs.

I currently have Suntek on my 458, and Xpel on my 19 Audi S5 & was reminded at application anything other than 5 yr removal time. Both my cars look great.
Painting a Ferrari is very expensive ,but more important the fact of it triggering a Carfax or a buyer with a paint depth gauge. Had a MB that had paint prob. not related to an accident, but when the dealer purchasing the car ck'd paint depth it was deal over.

Chemical Guys makes a great spray / quick detailer for PPF. Highly recommended.

True about PPF. Talk to the companies that make and those that apply and no one warrantees against paint lift. Don't like the idea of waiting 10 years sun or no sun for the adhesive to bond to the paint. Do the nose if you have to for chipping but just a good wash/wax is best for the paint all things considered especially if your car is a keeper or has special paint.
