PPf only or paint correction and ceramic?--on my New f8 spider
Here are my “if’s “ If it’s going to be a “queen” you will be upset if you get a rock chip(s), so PPF it. If you don’t like or have time to properly keep it waxed then ceramic coat it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
Makes the most sense-thanks. Could only be tempted by the allure of what ceramic does to the wheels and calipers.
Professional paint correction and sealer/wax for a garage queen. Only consider PPF on front edge if you drive some highway.
Seriously leaning that way,ppf on nose only with paint correction and ceramic, but this weekend met guy with a beautiful pearl white 488 Spider who was so thankful that he ppf' the entire car cause his car was keyed on the door but did not penetrate the film so just re-filmed the side,
yes and there are no swirl marks! so on a day with direct sunlight you are not grimacing like you would without the ppf
Well after hearing from so many F-chatters,I'm paint correcting nose ,front fenders, mirrors, rockers and rear qts.,wheel wells followed by correcting rest of car and then ceramic the entire car. All next week and am excited to get it and start driving this weapon! Thanks all!
So I was at our regular Sunday Ferrari meet, and a guy just got a rock chip just 2 inches away from where the film ended... Just saying If he went the extra coverage, it would have been an easier fix. All my cars of value that are garage queens/ of significant value / have original paint - get full film my two cents
What ever you decide to do with the ppf never ever under any circumstances not cover an entire panel, especially on a highly visible part like the hood. Having a line across the center of let’s say the hood looks really bad. It might not bother you at first but you will end up hating it.
