The battery is dead - the tender is in there - as well as the owners manual - can someone point out the location of the manual string pull on the Pista ?

    thank you !

I don't recall where the manual string is, but I believe it's inside the car.

Have you tried using the manual key to see if you can crack the door open? Just be very careful you don't shatter the window.

The other option might be to obtain a compatible tender and plug it into the port on the back for a while.

In extreme cases, you can remove the panels and connect 12V power directly through the chassis and the main lead to the starter motor (I would guess) and open the car up at that point.

If you can get into the car get a flash light, pull string is to the left of the brake pedal , about 3-4 inches before the firewall. It may be tucked on top of some wires and brackets in there but you should see it.

btw get some advice on the Lithium battery. It should be charged with a compatible charger and not jumped- that is what I have been told by my dealer, confirmed with another F dealer and a Porsche dealer.

Yes, that's correct. The Braille L1236 charger is handy to have around for lithium batteries.

Are you totally locked out of the car or just need to access the front boot because the battery is dead? I believe I have a manual which shows where everything is located; I'll check it tomorrow.
