Looking at the photo provided and the wear factor ,I would'nt get them stripped and painted . Just do the the foam bolster and stitching . I don't care what anyone says, repainting is an ongoing process and you will do it after a few years again, I've never come across a Connolly hide that did not need to be repainted once its been done once. Apart from that the naked eye can always spot repainted seats and they never look as good as the orginal in texture .
if you want to understand more about the "Vaumol " process googled it under Wiki, the article is correct .
I follow BM Leather Creations on Facebook and he does an amazing job!! He and Gary West are the leather kings.
1999 Ferrari 550 Maranello Manual $399,999.00 ?? https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/1999-ferrari-550-maranello-manual/OAG-AD-19978591/?Cr=2#details
550 is a more desirable car, due to manual transmission. Having said that, 250K should pull one up. This car has the wrong wheels plus the usual delamination of both airbag covers, stone chips and no mention of Australian delivery, so probably a UK or HK car.
Wheels that are fitted are the 550 Barchetta modular wheels that were available as an option for this car....so technically not the wrong wheels........I prefer the standard wheels.
I took my originals off and put them in the shed Pete…Had these made in Miami…I’d love some genuine modulars though!…. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I’m not going back to the 4 engine Queen of the skies…The rosters are crap and I’ve got things to build…
I have a set available Gary, I purchased them a few years ago but decided I prefer the original. Would consider parting with them, PM me if you are interested.
