    Hi everyone

I know most are just unplugging the factory valves and having them permanently open and some are spending a couple of thousand on the Capristo Electronic Controller but here is an alternative.

Unfortunately I am not able to always have my exhaust open where I live it’s very close to the neighbors and so I need to ensure it’s quiet when I come home late at night. I also didn’t want to spend a couple of thousand on the brand so I basically did the same setup as when I have my GT3RS.

You basically need one of these controllers. On EBay I’m sure you’ll find them for less than $50 and trust me they work perfectly.

    1. Remove the rear diffuser to access the vacuum hoses to the exhaust.

    2. Unplug the vacuum line to the factory exhaust valves - Instead of unplugging each, I just unplugged the one (top hose in pic) to the vacuum canister. This basically connects to both valves via a metal pipe anyway.

    3. Bridge the valve in the kit to the vacuum canister and to the metal pipe - here you basically override the factory ability to switch the vacuum on and off.

    4. Run the hoses to the supplied valve. I put my valve in the engine bay for easy access in case I need to troubleshoot.

    5. Wire up the main unit. I used the power wire (orange one in pic) from one of the plugs connected to the diffuser. Earth the negative to one of the factory bolts.

    6. Plug the main unit and valve, tidy up wiring and reinstall the diffuser. My remote is double sided taped to my door.

With the controller off, the factory setup works as normal. When you switch it on, the valves will stay open!

I think this is the same with every other car. I hope this helps someone.

I think that's basically the same thing as the fancy ones. Never really use it myself since I think if you go full throttle the valves open anyway?

Sounds identical after 3,000rpm. Just an option to be a little sportier under that range. Lol.

Life begins at 3000 RPM. Everything else is just idling ;)
