I would like to see the Yellow car or red car with a black roof to match the a pillars.

I wonder if this will be an option??

May the Horse be with you

Same car at another dealership this evening. Looked nice. Cabin really short (carbon seats and 6ft 2in driver means I was knocking knee on steering cowl when braking with wheel adjusted up and out to max). Accelerator really off right and size 10.5 UK deck shoe just about fitted past brake peddle to operate gas. It’s a snug thing for sure.

“Slice of toast” spoiler not operable stationary (or the guy I asked didn’t know how to get it extended).

No Infotainment head unit looks odd. So I guess the passenger display becomes compulsory ( co pilots job is music and opening road beers/snacks :)

Stainless engine cover is a no from me.

296 looks really nice in solid colours. The AF paint scheme is IMHO awful and does nothing for the beautiful lines of the car.

was about to post as well...the interesting part is when he talks about what happens post F8.....a non hybrid manual version of the 296?

A non-hybrid 296 would be far fetched since the transmission in the 296 doesn’t have a reverse gear and relies on the electric motor to reverse, so it would be odd for Ferrari to develop a new trans just for the non-hybrid 296.

Although if the new trans was a manual like he was saying, it might make sense.

Unlike the SF90 Stradale, the 296 has a proper reverse gear. That said, I don't believe for one moment that Ferrari will undo all their hard work and produce a non-hybrid 296.

Interesting, I thought it was like the SF90, my mistake and thanks for the clarification.

You are welcome. The thing is that the 296 only has a rear electric motor and that's feeding its power to the gearbox. Thus, the wheels will turn the way that the gearbox dictates. The SF90 on the other hand has front electric motors that are attached to the wheels, sans a gearbox, and thus can turn the opposite way on their own.

They will when the sales numbers tank. A non hybrid for $225K will attract a lot of buyers. But first, fix the tail lights and pipes.

Highly unlikely, especially given the government regulations. BTW, the sales are very strong for these hybrid supercars.

I have to respectfully disagree on the taillights. Pulled into a lot in SF in my Roma and the parking attendant rolled up and said, “a Ferrari….you part up front and I will keep eye on it.” Yes there is a cavallino but it’s subtle and he got it was a Ferrari. I don’t think this car will be mistaken for a Mclaren et al.

Is Testarossa can be recognised as a Ferrari without round taillights?

IHMO the taillights on new Ferrari models look like they were lifted from a late-model Camaro.
And with all due respect, the Roma could easily be mistaken for a Lexus or other mass-produced car.
Ferrari lost its way when it started catering to the daily-driver GT market instead of the exotic sports car aficionado. Yes, I realize I’m a dinosaur!

You're no doubt referring to Ferrari's signature taillights illustrated in many of the past models. All of these are immediately identifiable as Ferraris from their taillights, alone. Wouldn't you agree?
