Hello All Has anyone had issues with their Apple car play ? I have a 2018MY 488 spider and the Apple car keeps dropping out, then I have to press the Apple car play button and it will reconnect won’t reconnect. It’s becoming a PITA!!
No issues from mine. Have you replaced the cable to see if that helped? Apple are a bit fussy esp with non genuine lightning cables. Be interesting to see how many cars actually ended up with Apple car play given it was a ludicrously expensive option… 33% of the total cost of my daughter’s VW Polo which came with it as standard..
I get this as well on my 2020 488 Pista Spider. Would be very happy if anyone had a clue/fix Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
May depend on model of iPhone you have. On my Roma I first tried a old iPhone 8 that was up to date (iOS 14j. It was very flaky as you report. Then I tried my current iPhone 12. MUCH better but not perfect. Now I got the major update to the car software and now the iPhone 12 is perfect in reliability. Still a clunky interface but serviceable. Haven’t tried to go back to the 8 to see if that also works. You might check the dealer to see if the car software is up to date. SV
I have the same issue in my 2020 Pista. It seems to be related to which app I’m using. If I’m streaming music through tidal then it can drop out quite often. If I’m just using Apple Maps it never does it. I’m thinking it might be a software issue with specific apps CarPlay integration. But if anyone else has any ideas I’m open to listen. Was going to ask if it’s retro fit possible in f8 but assume no Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Talk to your dealer or a high end auto stereo shop. I believe it is possible at the dealer, but not cheap.
