I will eventually make a full post with more details but our water in CA is awful (450-550ppm). I ran a line off of our RO faucet and fill up a few 5 gal Home Depot buckets with 0 ppm RO water. From there I use a worx hydroshot pressure washer to pull spotless water from the bucket.

You could probably just use the bucket for the final rinse but I prefer to use it for my initial rinse and foam too.

Check out the CR spotless system too.

I am on a well and it is really hard water. My outside faucet that I use for the car is plumbed from the house that runs through the water softener system (hot and cold water as well). No problems with water spots and very convenient.

Hmmmm? my well water also runs through softener but I still get bad water spotting.
maybe has to do with what chemicals or dissolved solids are not totally getting filtered.
Thus am looking to the CR Spotless system.

Water softeners don't change your TDS. They only exchange ions.

Watch out for the Aqua Crest ones that you attach directly to the end of your hose. I had my water turned up 1/2 way while using one and it failed. Those things are filled with thousands of tiny sandlike hard particles. I basically sanded my hood down because the inside came apart and spewed it’s innards onto my hood at 1/2 outdoor hose pressure.

    Good times.
