I started my Lusso today after it had sat in the sun for 4 hours, and both the infotainment screen and the passenger displays stayed dark. On the dash, I could not scroll through the usual GPS, music, phone menu. It would only display the speed. I tried to restart the infotainment by holding down the power button to no avail. I drove for like 25min so that the car interior would cool down significantly, but no change. I turned the car off, locked it and opened it again but no luck. Im currently letting it sit for a couple of hours, see if it fixes itself.
I have found one person with a similar issue on a Portofino who fixed it by holding the volume knob down. But that didn't work for me.
Anybody else has had any similar issue? How did you get it fixed?

Where do you live? Was the screen in direct sunlight? What was the ambient temperature?

I live in Denmark but I am currently in Lisbon. The car was in direct sunlight but I had a sun screen on the dash. The screen was definitely quite hot to the touch though. I tried 30min later and the screen was still black when I started the car, but started once I pushed on the volume knob. I am going to consider it was a heat related issue but I have already left the car in the sun for longer and in warmer weather (currently 29degC in here) without any issue.

It certainly sounds like what happens to an iPhone when too hot in the sun. I think you should be clear now!!

I have a FF, but when this happened to me it was a fuse. I'd check this first, it's an easy fix if that is what it is.
