Wouldn’t the originality you are seeking be found in the unique, one of a kind tail light design?

If it had the same round taillights like so many other Ferraris….would that be “original”?

Many defenders of the status quo.
IMHO the 488, Tributo proflles look somewhat dated now. The wedgy, sculpted design cues have been played out. Time for a new look with latest drive train tech. One could say it’s for marketing sake but I appreciate the new direction and have made a deposit.

    Not really, no..

I’ve got an F8 Spider currently.. And from the outside I didn’t really think ‘this looks smaller’.

Although I think the cabin is maybe less spacious.. But I kinda like that cockpit type feeling.

Honestly, looks SO much better than initial images/renders Ferrari launched it with.

I was debating between this or an SF90, and I thought this looked too soft / lacked aggression.

But, in-person it looks REALLY good.

I’ve put a deposit down, so just waiting to spec now.. Genuinely impressed with it :)

    While I've been a supporter of Ferrari's in-house Design Team, this is a case of a 'swing & a miss'.

Id actually say a miss would be a monumental understatement! I'm talking specifically about the livery - if you could call it that. Personally I would refer it as being recklessly vandalistic - and incredibly self indulgent - when vandalism of that nature is very unhelpful and certainly the last thing Ferrari should be inflicting upon on a car which already clearly has enough issues as it is. I just can't believe they actually think that compliments the car. Amazing..

Perhaps they are just testing the market to see how far they can push it before nobody will buy the car? They probably discussed it at boardroom level and came to the final conclusion that if anyone buys this they will basically be up for anything so long as it has a Ferrari badge on it.

Thought the opposite.. bland looking in real life, reminded me so much of MP4-12C launch when they removed the cover. Front has Noble, McLaren MP4-12C feel, side has Lotus Evora, Ford GT 40 feel, and back I’m not sure, but I could imagine a resto mod De Tomaso Pantera would have a back like this. To my eyes, just doesn’t flow. Then a go on a config for Coupe with AF, came out at £310k standard paint, which has less in the AF package than SF90 AF package, doesn’t have anything exterior wise to differentiate from standard model, confirmed to me SF90 AF is a better option.

Not too keen on the livery from the front view. I think I'd opt for the standard version. The profile view, however, is stunning.

I cannot understand why they just didn't use the stripes. It's a case of less is more where the two stripes would have been perfectly fine but no, some self proclaimed genius thought by painting Homer Simpsons mouth on it would somehow going to make the front look sensational. Frankly, I've never seen such a disastrously looking fail come out of Ferrari. They should enter this fail into the Guinness book of records as a demonstration of how to entirely ruin what would have otherwise been an acceptable looking car.

That duck bill livery does the car no favors, same as in the SF90.

Current and new designs become future signature models. Good to have some originality but make progressive changes.
