    I’d been looking for a silver 550 barchetta for some time now and have just bought this lovely example with everything I wanted - except the helmets !! Ok, I’ll buy them separately …

    Having driven it back to back with my 812 Superfast ( which I love !! Non-GPF) I must say It reminded me how nice the feel of the manual clickity gate with the v12 screeching was - we have a heat wave here in the Uk at the moment and hence the perfect barchetta weather ….. I must admit , Im smitten and in love with this 20 year old Italian temptress !!

    Jag, Congratulations! A beautiful car. And it is perfect weather here to enjoy it (until the weekend at least!). Interesting to hear also about your comparison with the 812. I have a 812 GTS which I am reviewing, driving back to back with my Ferraris this week in England. A 550 with no roof would be pretty special right now.
    A purchase for life!

    Weather permitting next week or two I hope to drive her back to back with my F50- be interesting noise in the local tunnels !!

    Thanks buddy - that’s v kind of you … your right , I do feel v v joyous at the feeling of childlike awe that most Ferraris create in me - the barchetta is at the dealership for some changes I’m making ( exhaust enhancement :) ) while my F50 and TDF are also there having annual services- so possible 3 v12 car showdown next week ….

    Here's a picture of a Barchetta with a hard top. I saw this car at Ferrari of Central Florida. It's still on their website. A hardtop might be something to consider with the UK weather and all...
