I put my 575 into a wheel refurb specialist to refurb the wheels for me. I checked threads on here and spoke to a long term Ferrari mechanic who told me the same as I have read on the threads:
Remove the cover under the front of the car and use the two chassis weld points ; at the back use the two triangular areas near the gearbox. I explained this very carefully to the worker who was to jack up the car.

Here are photos of what he has done.

At the front he has used the suspension arms. At the back the jacking points. The worker never reverted to me to ask if this would be ok.

Normally if trying to support a car using the point under the dampers would be a safe bet. However, if the advice is to the job X way, then I assume that the advice is based on some concern or past experience as to why it should be done X way.

Any views on this? Any past experiences?

Should be fine. Just don't get in or out of the car as the suspension will compress and it may change the angle at which the jack stand comes into contact with the arm.

So as long as you stay out of the car it's totally fine.

I find these the easiest solution to getting our cars on stands. I am not affiliated with this company.
Using two low profile jacks, their flat plate with hockey pucks on top, everything is done at the jacking points of the car.
Some jacks are too wide to fit into the jack stand but most do. Significantly easier using these stands or similar.

Funnily enough here in the west of Scotland it has been excessively hot ( for us) as a constant 24C + for a few weeks. Remember that a heatwave here is 2 consecutive days with temp above 30c!

On the 456 good solid jack up points are provided under the A-pillar and just forward of the rear wheels.

Be careful when jacking up on the suspension arms! These are hollow and made of very thin pressed steel and can easily be damaged by the jack or stands.
