I have seen them. And there is one more at bonhams - I like that one a lot. Color is great. Needs significant work, but that I see as an advantage. Willing to spend time and money, but then I know what I get Sotheby’s also good, especially the silver one
Hallo Heiko, I am 1,95m tall and used to own a 330GT 2+2. It was comfortable to drive, and I felt I had enough room. Loved the car. Good luck.
Thanks!!! I had a chance to sit in a 330 beginning of the week. It is indeed enough room. Now I just need to find the right car to buy
If you're ok with a car that needs work, 8689 has been featured on quite a few Youtube videos and is in need of some restoration. It appears to deive well, though. It's offered at $250k but I'm assuming they will take somewhere between $235-240k. It RNM on BringaTrailer at $220k last month. https://www.bondgroupusa.com/1966-ferrari-330gt Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
The best option by far is to spend extra to find a well sorted car that has been cared for it’s entire life or has been recently restored to a high quality. Any car in need of restoration is an unknown. There are no good surprises when you start to peel away the paint. Trust me.
Hi, I found this ad online: https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1179005 the car looks good and I contacted the seller. Then the strange story began: Pictures look good (not perfect), so reasonable for the price. But when I asked for pictures from below the car and the VIN he did not want to send it "as he has made bad experience" and because he is Monaco based and the car is in Italy. He sent me a booklet with other cars he is currently offering: Ferrari 500 Mondial, 250 GT SWB, 250GT california, Mercedes SLR Stirling Moss etc. - Strange thing I do not find anything under his name on the Web. If someone is selling cars in that league I assume his name would be known among Ferrari owners: Does anyone know Luigi Deideri (based in Monaco, originally from Italy)? Thanks for your advice!
4 years ago I was in Malta for a month. I checked the website mentioned and there was my 250 GTE for sale. Pictures were from a previous Bonham's auction from 8 or 9 years ago. I contacted the seller, who claimed he had access to the car and could act as a seller/buyer agent. I filed a complaint with cars and classics UK, who did not reply and did absolutely nothing. Just be careful as you pursue the right car.
Does anyone have a view in this Center console? This is vin 8975 with an aftermarket A/C. Is this a no go or acceptable ? Image Unavailable, Please Login
It totally depends on whether you want original, or (marginally) more functional. None of these will cool like a modern car’s a/c, so it depends on your tolerance of a hot car interior and the aesthetics.
Halo Heiko, Did you manage to check the 330 that is located in Barcelona? I am looking for one too and I was wondering if you knew anything about that car. Cheers!
The problem is that they also cut out the console to install the ac. That seems like a lot of work to fix…
Broad Arrow Auctions had 8279 up for auction this weekend in Palm Beach. Didn't hit reserve. They are asking $350k for it. Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk
I get a sense that this car is not quite fully restored and/or may have unaddressed issues. I like the colors though...
I don't know about the mechanical condition, but from the pictures, I saw only a few minor things like the wrong steering wheel, wrong hole punch pattern in the package shelf, etc.
