    Watches are such a fun hobby. It's almost this secret world. I fell down the Seiko mods rabbit hole, found a LOT of Rolexes with aftermarket Disney dials, and the drama.

    This weekend is supposed to be another estate sale here in BHillls, gonna do my trawling for something. Crazy to go to a glorified garage sale behind gated walls. Saw some things last time i was not interested in and some I didn't have deep enough pockets for.

    This new Breitling release finally came in to the local ad ... wore it briefly to try it out and see if it moved me.

    It's a beautiful watch that needs a different strap cause this one makes it look like that part of the 60s that isn't worth reviving. A lot of value in the movement. A little too much PP cloning for my taste, and in the end I didn't feel it so I passed.

    Will get the simpler green variant when it comes in.

    Was it very thick? I really like the design but if I remember correctly, it's about 14-15mm thick which is way too much for a dress watch.

    Well, it wasn't thin. But it was in line with what you would expect thickness wise given the complication. It actually felt well sized to me, but I'm also not one that embraces 38mm thin watches, so 42ish mm and some heft is pretty much my sweet spot size wise even for a dress watch. And it's not like a 42mm AP that wears like 47mm, it was just a dress watch on the larger side.

    I just didn't feel it. Something about that brown strap combined with the salmon dial and the whole thing had a 70's brown polyester suit pink shirt vibe to it. :) I think a black leather strap would help it a lot, but it still wouldn't be for me.
