November/December 2003 build date, US MY 04 for AN 52556. SN 135179 was AN 52506, SN 135186 was AN 52616.

I just picked up 134706, assembly 51930. It’s black on black with full CF interior by the looks of it. Don’t have a clue what options it has :(

Alternatively a main dealer service/parts department should be able to look it up for you

So £94,300 with fees. That's strong for a Japan import.

Looks relatively tidy in the images and it's a colour combination that I would never had consider but seems to work surprisingly well.

It looked like it had a very good service history. And it genuinely seemed in good condition from the photos and video.

Amazing how much £££ fees add up to.

It says sold for £92,250 on the Silverstone Auctions website which is presumably the total inclusive of fees.

Not a Japanese import or it likely would have been LHD. Came from Hong Kong and was imported around the time of the handover (July 97). The interior has the right amount of red mixed with black leather and looks great. Rare manual 550, too.

If I had a Ferrari in Hong Kong, I would have been looking to move it, too.

Feels like 550 prices are stiffening, no surprise as they belong in the pantheon of truly great Ferraris in my opinion, along with the 355 and 458 of the 'moderns'.

    Yes I noticed that too.

Their buyer fees are 12% + vat, if the hammer was £82,000 I'm not sure how they arrive at £92,250 - must be a bit of behind the scenes negotiation.

575M f1 number 4 on Collecting cars. This one's an old friend. It's the car I drove at Meridien in 2018 and made an offer on. It's been for sale ever since and has passed through three auctions none of which bidding hit anything higher than mid £60k's.

Currently on sale at Stream Cars for £73,995 and looks like it's them listing it on CC. https://www.streamcars.co.uk/cars/ferrari/575m/ferrari/472510/

    https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/2004-ferrari-575m-maranello-1

It's a reasonably late AN at 55469 so has many of the upgrades that rendered the FHP unecessary. The thing is though in internet world a 575M with no FHP is apparently worthless.

Looking forward to this one - 4 to choose from it's going to be interesting to see how these pan out.

" internet world a 575M with no FHP is apparently worthless.".....Lucky me... my gated 575 avoided internet worthless by having FHP. :>) (apparently not a common combination in US cars)

    I thought it would be a good data point and conversation to add about my 550;
I was given $145k directly with Ferrari.
26k miles, 4 owners, mechanically excellent, needed minor body work, interior was excellent but not perfect, and was currently on 3-yo belts.
Also had a good service history over the past 10yrs + my ownership.

I wonder what the turnaround they're expecting is, but I was honestly surprised they gave me that much.

#winning and grateful for the sharing.

I’d assume they had a client already in mind? Your color combo (as I’ve noted at least to me) is/was extremely attractive.

Not sure, I didn't ask them directly, but from the conversations I had it didn't seem like they already had someone inline for it.

I like the interior too, though it makes the upper dash look a bit plain by comparison.

Lots of detail on the former owners. Early 50s seems to be the median coming of age for these cars.

looks like it will sell for around the same money it sold for in 2001 to its second owner.

Update on the four 575’s for sale on CC over the last couple of weeks.

Car 1, nice spec, attractive colour combo but almost entire history missing and somewhat strange ownership history. Listing removed immediately after auction ended.

No Sale – High bid £61,000

In reality there was what looked like only one genuine bid on this car, the others all looked like house accounts getting it up towards the reserve, which it didn’t make.

    https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/2002-ferrari-575m-maranello-2

The same dealer was offering a red car that was withdrawn before the listing went live.

Car 3 finished this evening, was for sale at Bell Classics (£85,000 asking price) who listed on CC.

Looks tidy, has history and unusually comes with a factory fitted roll bar, FHP, Modulars, if the colour scheme does it for you it’s a nice car. Listing removed immediately after auction ended.

    No Sale – High bid - £62,500

    https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/2003-ferrari-575m-maranello-5

Car 4 has a few days to go:-

    https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/2004-ferrari-575m-maranello-1

I’m keeping an eye on these as they finish as the listings are being completely removed so the final bid doesn’t appear on line for others to search.

The price for a Murcielago manual transmission car has really taken off.

You would think buyers would jump on the 550 as one of the last affordable manual transmission 2 seat Italian 12's - aside from the Testarossa.

These are all 575 F1's. There seems to be little love for F1 V12's in the UK right now - which looks like the place to pick up a bargain if the sellers are willing to let the cars go.

The last car Iinked above is now in it's 4th auction and it's gone unsold at the previous three for bids varying between £59K and £63K. Sooner or later the vendor has to accept that's the market price for it to go - or simply keep it indefinately.

550's are another market, there is clearly more demand for manual cars, but the UK is now quite an insular market, even more so since Brexit and the pandemic.

Threads like this are helpful as they document failed sales. The sellers are doing their best to erase the history of these sales but this keeps tabs on them.
