Ocon is quite possibly my least favorite driver but fair play to him. Today he is a Grand Prix winner every inch on merit. Congratulations to him and the Alpine Team.

Horrendous race from Hamilton, he must be the most useless champion ever at reading a race.
I mean he's driving around on a bone dry track during the formation lap.

Why on god's earth would you stay on the inters?

He had a massive gift horse and threw 10 points away.

He also spent waaay too much time trying to pass cars.

It's one of his worst seasons so far, Verstappen has been much better.

 

Hamilton looked like he was either going to faint or vomit on the podium. Definitely didn't look well.

On another note, it unfortunately shows again how far off Ferrari is.
With the RB out (Perez out of the race and Verstappen with a damaged car), Sainz ends behind an Aston-Martin, an Alpine and Hamilton in spite of Mercedes not putting immediately the dry tyres.

 

Even the rookies pitted!

 

Frickin Alonso man, even if you hate him, c’mon did you see what he did to hambone & that much more superior merc?!?! The same merc that later just breezed by Sainz…the old man’s still got it.

And that 5-grid penalty for wingman Bottas is a joke. He pulled a frickin Grosjean! The man is definitely giving it his all to cling onto that second mercedes race seat.

“Hey Toto, hold my beer. Betcha Russell can’t take out both rival cars in a single corner. I’m a 1-in-a-million team player!”

Anyway big congrats Esteban and he properly thanked Fernando and the team so he has matured lately.

Absolutely guys.

How does it work that you take out 3 cars and get given pretty meaningless 5p grid drop, yet team releases you into path of another in the pit (something which the driver simply has no control over) and that's worth a 10 second stop and go (NOT a 10 second penaltyy added to pit time...this is PIT, stop, don't work on car, drive out....no work allowed at all).

And they keep saying alls fair....
