WH Lowe received a total of eight (8) 365 GT4 BBs, of which two were originally red with black.
17867 and 18303 (which was the 1975 Melbourne motor show car).
Four (4) additional RHD 365 GT4 BB's red/black were sold to Maranello Concessionaires AUS (out of a total of 9 units they sold).

I reckon its a C4 based on the curve otf the windscreen base in picture #4 - I've been lucky enough to own GT4 2+2, C4 and a Daytona. The C4 is my favourite of the three and one of my all time favourite (affordable) F cars.

The view over the bonnet from the helm of a C4 is sublime and the noise from the six DCOE Webers is as good as any.

I can help you with one of the C4 I thought I had more.
I'm one of the few here who liked Bill's colour code bumper and Borrani's:

Mine went to Hong Kong, painted dark blue (was Celeste Gainsborough at delivery) and the tartan replaced with leather….

Lol, just noticed I’m in that pic. I distinctly remember the conversation I was having with Bill A. He was running through the finer points of the C4 styling :)

Was the C4 one of your favourites out of the cars you have owned Greg?..

    I’d rank them as follows:

    1. 246 GTS
    2. 365GT4/BB
    3. 575M
    4. 365GTC/4

I’ve put the 575 above the C4, purely because ownership is just easy. I can take it to work, do a Sunday morning run, go away for the weekend in it with no hassle etc

At the time, we didn't realise we had it so good. At the time of the first Mackay Rally (2008), there were about 27 Daytonas in Oz. Now, I think there about 9.

The really sad thing is that all of the early cars are so valuable, they don;t get driven on long runs anymore.

We won't see those days again.

Geez I’m surprised you ranked the 246 over the BB!…There’s a 512BB on Carsales that is very tempting…

The 246 was my first so always special. The induction roar is pretty hard to beat. Lots of good memories. This is the day I brought it home in December 2000

That's a really good question and, for me hard to answer. I have a pretty much perfect, low k's, 575M (Stick) now and it's a fabulous motorcar - more power than is possible to use these days and airconditioning that actually works, but if you offered me a new C4 that drove as well as my old one and sounded as good,, I'm not sure.....

The new cars are so bloody big! I used to think a Daytona was a big car, but put one next to 575 (or even more so, a 599) and it seems positively tiny. A 488 is like a bus compared to a 246 but that's the way of the world.

Must admit Bill the 550 is one of my favourites of the cars I have but I’m so drawn to those early FE V12s probably because I’ve never owned one…
