Took a couple of pics of the storage area as I went over the top of Alice Springs airport today to join the circuit. To get an idea of scale, virtually every aircraft you can see is a 777. The "little" aircraft in the back rows are 737s. There appears to be one A380. Image Unavailable, Please Login
That is fantastic. I feel very privileged to have spent time in Hong Kong pre 1997 and flew into Kai Tak quite a few times. Even as a non aviator it was pretty hairy coming in with a crosswind. I hope the glory days of aviation can return. I want to see a flight engineer up the front, space waitresses wearing hats, a dress code and a 4 fold increase in fares to keep the great unwashed out of the air. Yeah great airport…It seems it was another life..I used to hate taxing off the runway and heading up to the terminal on the narrow taxiway with aircraft overshooting the IGS turn and pointing straight at you…Plenty of GT stripes left on the Jumbo seats in those days…

It’s starting to kick again Steve with lots of rules and paperwork…100 hours for me this month…We lost almost 8 Billion HKD for the first half of the year on the interim results so a long way to go!..
