My turn signals don't cancel in the desired manner, and I'm tired of driving down the road looking like a moron because I don't realize the turn signal is still on. I suspect either the wheel is mounted at the wrong angle, or the "reset" tabs have become damaged and need replacement. Thus, I need to remove the steering wheel to inspect.

Does anyone have a hub ring socket I can borrow? I might need it for a bit of time, based on what I find in there. But I promise it will be returned, and will pay for shipping.

FWIW my cancel ring just “loosened “ up I just had to reset it. Not broke or worn.

I also made my own socket for the steering wheel nut, if needed I can loan it out.

Thanks so much! PM sent. :)

Not kidding, no. The turn signals are definitely malfunctioning.

Hopefully mine has the same issue. I've put this off for years, but the annoyance of fixing it has finally been exceeded by the annoyance of them being wonky. ;)

Operation Turn Signal Stalk Reset Repair - officially a success. No broken parts; the entire steering shaft had been detached and reattached at 60 degrees off-center. Which must have taken some real effort in ignoring the obvious, as the collar even has a "Momo" stamp indicating the 12-oclock position. Stalk now clicks off just like a normal car when turning.

Ah well. Thanks again, Kim - I'll have your socket on the UPS truck tomorrow. :)

I know this is an older thread, but mine has started to "sometimes" not cancel. If I turn it more quickly back to center it cancels. I'm thinking it just needs to be adjusted. Can you explain what you did, exactly?
