355 355: Replacing rear lights/lenses

Can anyone tell me how to replace the inner rear lenses on a F355 GTB? (European model)
I’m replacing them because of the know issue where the lenses crack because of heat from the reverse bulbs.
I’ve tried unscrewing the bulb holder and the other 2 screws holding the light, and tried to take the lens out backwards but with no luck. Seems like the holes for the light in the rear panel are to narrow getting the light out that way? Do I need to take the whole rear panel off and then take the lights out pushing them forward?

I believe you need to buy new tailights. If you’re interested in selling urs for cheap, let me know.

 

Ironic to see your name and first post. Afterburn pretty much sums it up .

 

You have to remove the panel or challenge grill to remove the lights. They come out from the back not towards the engine.
