I'll spell it out. When you write " I bought PP's for $37k" and then go to mention all the things that were wrong with it, the implication is that you bought it from PP in that condition, hence the clarification.
I would say that any GT/4 purchased for $37,000 in the last 10 years would hardly be a paragon of mechanical integrity. Are you PP?
You don't need to spell it out for any Aussies as they,as I indicated with the 99%,will know my history with the car as Carl started a thread on the day I picked it up from him...with pics.. The Aussies here would have to have been on Mars not to know. I will, however, agree that if there were any visiting USers or others visiting today then I will bow to your input and remarks. Peter himself knows how much I liked the car and knows I NEVER attributed ANY of the imperfections to his ownership. I think you're being somewhat petty in bringing your statement to this table.....sorry. Edit, when I first mentioned re this conversation,I said the ex PP car here: https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/posts/148050929/
https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/2016-ferrari-f12tdf-auto/OAG-AD-20075253 Crazy prices for a car that had a sticker price of 900k give or take. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Simon, Nice attempt at deflection, but you clearly agree, ( hence "then I will bow to your input and remark" ) that unless a reader knows the context from 8? years ago, your original post was open to misinterpretation.
Mike you are incorrect....there is no deflection on my part, more rather on yours for not acknowledging your mistake in not doing due dilligence on my remarks at the beginning of the current conversation. This is my first reference the car you've called me out for in this current conversation,it clearly state's what I printed. First mentioned as "the ex PP car" https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/posts/148050929/ When someone puts in an 'Edit" it usually means an amendment/addition or alteration of sorts as to what has previously been printed. If a newcomer to the thread can't work it out then THEY haven't done due dilligence in their reading of the thread.
Hang on. I thought Moretti bought PP's car. Are Simon and Moretti the same person? Or did Simon buy the 328GTB? Whom bought the F40? I thought he only bought Pommy OHOSs. So many questions...
Keep digging. No mistake on my part. Again deflecting, you now agree one has to to "due diligence" in reading of your posts so that a reader can work it out. I clarified your post, because it was not clear. Deal with it.
