I think it is a moving target…initially they said 3…now I hear 5 but I think they will make Icona models as long as they can come up with ideas that people want to buy…there are many iconic models apart from the Monza…250 GTO (or SWB), P4, 288 GTO, F40 potentially a new Testarossa-type car etc…
Next Icona is November 2021 and I can’t wait to see what they come up with…the Monza was a success so it is a tough act to follow

Totally agree with you that they will produce Iconas for a long time... the back catalog is a long one.
I was rather surprised that they picked the Monza (a relatively less known car) as the inspiration for the first Icona. I think Ferrari was testing the waters without touching one of the greats. With Monza's success Ferrari can pretty much make an Icona of any of its older cars. The whole 250 series alone takes us well into 2030s. Heck would anyone refuse even a Dino Icona if priced right.

That would be wonderful! Based on the LaFerrari chassis and powertrain, sort of a successor to the P4/5 by Pininfarina.

If you expect something as smooth as the Monza, you might be surprised ...

I am expecting a beautiful car. Doesn’t have to be smooth and it doesn’t need to similar in style to the Monza. A F40 is beautiful to my eyes, but it is hardly smooth
I am sure you have seen it, so do you like it?

in some ways, it's good, but I would have liked another approach, less aero.
