1 down. 1 more to go. 24 hrs left. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1995-ferrari-f355-11/ Anyone care to take a stab at hammer price?
Is it really fair to say a car sells for $XXX including the fees? I understand that this may be the price of the transaction, but think it is one of the techniques that continue to inflate the bubble. Why not include TTL?
What is TTL? Of course it is fair to say what someone paid for a car as that is part of the price he paid. Transportation, Taxes, etc... that all depends on the circumstances between buyer and seller and that is no different when selling a car privately. Consider the $5k the commission the seller was willing to give BAT. Same goes for cars on consignment. *5k is hardly inflating much of anything. We're far beyond that at this stage.
Turns out I should have bought that high miles black GTB for $60k in February. Preferred a challenge so I passed. Oh well.
I guess I would add $15k for 25k less miles for my car [emoji857] Wowzers! 1995 B 66k miles $126k…. Yeah, I may need to consider that!! I really need to unsubscribe from this thread, as the pressure on my mental capacity to ignore the urge to sell is almost intolerable. Please forgive me and walk me off the ledge [emoji2957] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
People love doing that, it individualizes the car and they think it looks more finished or classier as opposed to some who view it as tacky. To each their own, but sure how much that affect it, there may be as many people who like it as hate it. A selling point even.
I totally agree with the individualization aspect, as I have redone my airboxes in silver. Image Unavailable, Please Login
The painted bits is not for me either, but if someone is looking for a Giallo early 95 car (duel fuel pumps), it would be a mistake to pass up on the car just for that. Those pieces are easily replaceable. Could only be a few hundred bucks if you find some decent pieces used. Engine bay is cleaner than most cars presented on BAT. Stuff like poor touch-up paint I wouldn’t do on a Civic, let alone a Ferrari bother me more. The car has 29k mi. Engine out service performed at 26k mi, but no records of guides done. Buyers are always asking about guides, especially on a 95 car. Will be interesting to see how this factors in to the final hammer price. *No stickies done either. Image Unavailable, Please Login
*Correction. This car had an engine out performed in 2013 at 26k mi by Reina. I can tell you right now Reina doesn’t know jack about 355’s. Recent engine out performed by GT motorsports in April 2021. So … very fresh service on this car.
This car is in pretty good condition for the miles. Other than the poor touch-up paint and the painted engine bits, I don’t see anything out of place. Seat bolster wear for the miles is normal. Minimal front rock chips as far as I can tell. Brake ducts still in tact (that’s rare if original). Fabspeed headers (I’d much prefer Tubis), straight pipes, Tubi muffler, K&N filters. Headers need a heat blanket. Missed opportunity to do guides when engine out was done, but that’s just me. I think you can get that money back in the market addressing that concern most buyers seem to have. *Stickies… ya’ll already know where to send to . It appears car is being sold by wife who’s husband passed away. Good to know a fellow F355 comrade HODL’d till the end! Give em a good bid for that!
Passenger airbag still nicely intact. No funny wrinkles, waviness, or shrinkage. That’s rare on a 355. $200k car
I wouldn't touch the guides unless they're bad, that's not a PM deal but a do it if they go bad. Most never actually do. This looks like a really nice car, '95 gtb's don't come up for sale very often anymore. Circumstances make sense, bummer. Hope my kids want mine when I'm gone, but up to them.
You know her husband wasn’t messing around when he put in a challenge bypass. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Challenge has a bypass pipe, not a valve. Standard cars have a valve and the actuator would be popping out of the cutout on heatshield. He covered the cutout so chances are he put in a challenge bypass pipe.
