Hill Engineering for the parts, and they really are flanblocks, not flamblocks, like Ferrari mistranslates.

Thanks for the clarification..just one note if OP wants to search for posts /threads he needs to misspell it to get more threads

Also ..i know the go to for ball joints is hill but i haven't found any references to hill flambloc/ flanblocks

Is there any threads / discussions that you know of about hill bushings (flanblocks/flambloc)

    Thanks

Hill engineering are stainless and work well, unlike the ferrari oem bits which are chrome plated steel. The chrome plate peels off and machines the ball joint away so it becomes slack. You will have to come up with a way to press the old ball joints out of the arms. Hill engineering do an extractor but you need 2 different ones as the upper and lower ball joints are not the same.
The flambloc tends to become tight but you can easily dissemble them and wire brush the pin, then reassemble using chain lub and a new circlip . Will be good as new then.

The arm pivots on 2 Flambloc’s, so if they are tight it does not help the suspension movement

So after doing research to help OP

    My conclusion

    Get hill ball joints
    Get Scuderia oem flambloc/flanblocks

The misunderstanding was with the fused OEM shock flanbloks that are not designed to be rebuilt. I now understand what you were referring to.

The ones i took to bits are those fitted when the car was built. It just a matter of removing a split pin and driving the pin out of the bushing

Nope. My bushings are metal/rubber fused. No pin to push out and no way to take them apart. I did see pictures of the bushing that you describe but the spare that I bought in 2013 is the fused rubber type.

Are these like the one superperformance uk sell ? Theirs are bonded but the pin is a ground fit- how does the arm move with the suspension movement then ?

It'll just twist like a standard rubber bush, Mike.

Better for comfort but not for handling.

Sorry, see what you're saying - yes, they do. The Superformance have a separate centre pin/mount held in with circlips.

Its a copy of the oem except the bush is bonded in, instead of being a push fit. If it did not pivot on the pin the arm movement would have to be taken up by twisting the rubber and that would not last long

Are the Scud Flanbloc and the Reg F430 size the same for the upper and lower control arm?

I'm sorry the part numbers are different, is the size different from a scud to a reg 430? I rather use the scud version. The scud version uppers are 30mm and bottom 33mm.

No idea on size but if the ferrari pt nos are different, then different fitment. The oem ones are good, provided they have not gone tight over the years- easy enough to free up. With everything removed from the arms, they should drop under their own weight
