Fan-****ing-tastic. About time. We have stressed for a while about how we will transport our dogs with us when we buy an aircraft. A mate of mine whom had a C414A went through hell with the f-wits at CASA to certify a cage in the back of his own aircraft so he could take his dog to Thistle and various other places. Meanwhile in the US private aircraft have allowed pets inside forever, with nary a problem. About time we realised that most dogs and dog owners are less hassle than small children and their owners on private aircraft.
Huh Huh? Friends of mine have a 4 seater and a special harness for their dog to fly with them... they had problems getting the harness because although there are plenty on the market, their dog has a pacemaker and finding a harness that was comfortable was a problem...ultimate first world problem!
IF they have full CASA approval for that it would at least signal that they have relaxed a little in the last 15 years. Note the “if”…
CASA is very busy - I personally wouldn't bother them with such trivia. Rather like Gary not bothering Hornsby Council about the Coongarri changes, which was very nice of him.
Well he won’t be heading north to check it out He’ll be stuck in lockdown with KIAI Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Reminds me of a flight I was on ...... A Mormon was seated next to me on a flight from London to the US. After the plane was airborne, drink orders were taken. I asked for a whiskey, which was promptly brought and placed before me. The flight attendant then asked the Mormon if he would like a drink. He replied in disgust, "I'd rather be savagely raped by a dozen whores than let liquor touch my lips." I then handed my drink back to the attendant and said, "Me, too, I didn't know we had a choice."
My dad used to fly Nigerian Airlines in the early 70's from London to Lagos when it was a wet lease British aircraft except for the time as they climbing out of Heathrow the intercom came on: 'Good evenings ladies and gentlemens, this is your captains speaking..' Yep, first all Nigerian crewed flight. He reckoned they had drunk the plane dry, duty free included, by the time they cleared the channel. He bought his own plane after that. John
Mmm looks nice, I can see the obvious convenience of a private aircraft but even 20 intercontinental trips a year in 1st would probably be cheaper, what do you think? Presumably you’ve had a go at both.
