    500 TR s/n 0634MDTR of Berlin resident Andreas Schlaewicke. Race #75 is tribute to how the car was raced by John Quackenbush in the 1950s. #406 decals are from this year's Mille Miglia.

    0634MDTR just showed p on a used cars portal in Germany:
    https://suchen.mobile.de/fahrzeuge/details.html?id=329477436&sentBySearchOrder=true&utm_content=teaser_cta_txt_details_anzeigen_c&utm_source=SavedSearchAgent&utm_medium=Email&utm_campaign=core_savedsearch_v17_c)

    Seems weird that such a car is advertised on a page where you would rather look for an average used BMW, Volkswagen (or maximum a tdf or Pista...;)). On the other hand we know that the car was/is in Germany (see above). Is the add and the car legit?

    In French, we have a saying: "un pigeon se lève chaque matin" ("a Pigeon gets up every morning");
    "Pigeon" being old slang for a naïve or even slightly dumb person, easy to catch.
    The meaning of the expression is that if you look well, you will then find the one that got up today.

    Honestly, nobody would wire several millions euros, sight unseen. For such a car, before any decision, you would expect full due diligence by experts, etc...
    So paradoxally, I think it might be legit: a scam of such magnitude would be too much.

    Hi Marcel,

    that's not 100% correct. I'm the managing director of FRG Group GmbH, an investment managing company which owns - among other companies - Mechatronik GmbH. Another subsidiary is Cartique (by mechatronik) GmbH which is offering 0634MDTR.

    I have a personal affair with the car co-driving the Mille Miglia in 2014 and 2015 together with the then owner. We had a lot of fun with it.

    The car is with us and displayed in our showroom in Pleidelsheim.

    Regards

    Bjoern
