My Mum and Dad actually did buy me a motorbike, well, that might be a stretch. A Honda Z50-J in the 1970s. I still have it.
I have NFI of what it’s worth. The blurb says it’s only had 1 owner. I would imaging that, along with condition, would drive the price beyond a ‘regular’ one? Do you know how many came to OZ?
My mate's parents actually DID buy it for him .... and then he dropped it at Surfers International and had to wait for many months for them to hand make another one
I hate bikes Dan, he offered to take me for a ride but I was too into staying alive !! The one time I tried to ride a bike was a Honda 500 trail bike .... I had no idea that was huge for a trail bike at the time and proceeded to crash and burn my leg ... never been near a bike since
That is huge for a trail bike Hope you weren’t too badly burnt… I was 19 when I got my learners and had a pretty scary accident, luckily I didn’t get hurt. A few days later I got straight back on my mates bike. After the insurance came through, I bought another, sold it by the time I was 21 and haven’t ridden a road bike since!
Has anyone else here seen this beatup twaddle: https://www.9news.com.au/national/rare-cars-holden-hsv-gtsr-w1-ute-one-of-four-ever-built-leads-lloyds-rare-holden-auction/8a106824-1cfa-4cdf-ab9e-123411895933
Lol. I meant to ask last time when you posted the videos of the birds from your drone, are they generally curious and follow it?
I saw this on the news tonight, 4 cars and they’re expecting $10M! I know that they are super rare but geez…
I wish I was a bike rider: https://www.grays.com/lot/0001-20009089/classic-cars/norvin-620cc-single?spr=true
That’s disappointing to hear about the P1800, I’ve always liked the styling but never driven one. What do you dislike about them?
Main problem Greg is power to weight...Volvo were too busy trying to build safer cars (yes back then..they had seatbelts, padded dashboards, flashing highbeams and ergonomic seats) they forgot to put 'power' into the equation. They weigh a bomb and have a tractor engine powering it. The 1st 5000 had 100bhp engines, and very gradually moved up to an eyewatering 130bhp. They really needed a V6 or small, say 2.5lt, V8 to make them work. Secondly was the handling...they don't..and as PP's mate has found out and changed, very heavy steering.... My Targa car had a worked 2 litre running twin Webers, cam and head flowed,4 wheel discs and it was still at best ordinary. My 122s however ran a 2.1lt with larger Webers and more headwork and the same running gear and was/is a hoot to drive. Pity really Some folk, mainly in the US as you'd expect, stuck iron head V8's in 'em.
