    Hi, I am planning on changing my GTO’s Tyre size from 285/30/20, 315/35/20 to same front but rear to 345/30/20, which is closest I can Get to the stock rear diameter, does anyone know if it will trigger the traction control problem or any other problem?

    If the overall diameter is the same or within 0.3 inches it should not affect the wheel speed sensor or the traction control algorithms.

    However, if you’re mounting the 345 tire on the same 315 rim, you may have issues with the tire fitment as the rim may be too narrow for the 345 and as such cause the tire to not seat properly or even bulge at the rim.

    The tire could also be subject to rolling over and unseating the bead depending on how you drive and the forces exerted on the tire.

    You cannot fit 345 section tyres on the 11.5" rear wheels. The bead won't seat properly, and you run the risk of an instant blow-out during hard cornering.

    On top of that it will look bad. You will increase the arch gap by 10mm or so as you cannot get anything larger than a 28.1" diameter.

    What are you trying to achieve? If you want better grip do the following. Install Pirelli PZC4 in the GTO size. Much better grip than the old MPSS GTO shoes.

    Yes I am trying to achieve better grip, the pzc4 don’t seem to have the right front , there is no 285/30, only the rear 315/35 is available. Seems PZ4 or PSS or PS4S are the only choices if I want to stay with original sizes,

    Alternatively I could change the rear to 21 inch wheels, then I can fit all cup2 with 285/30/20 and 315/30/21 then it is exactly the same, but what wheels could I get that can be lighter than the original GTO wheels?

    You are right. The fronts are discontinued.

    You can indeed get wheels that are as light or lighter than OE.

    I would contact either Forgeline or HRE. Forgeline offers their GS1R which is a well proven light and strong motorsport wheel. One of the best wheels out there for sure.

    Alternatively, there's the HRE R101 Lightweight.

    If you get both in the following spec, you can create a nice package for sure.

    Fronts.
    9.5" x 20" ET35
    Rears.
    11.5" x 21" ET60

    Fit them with the Dunlop tyres off of the Porsche GT3RS/GT2RS Weissach. Those are the Dunlop Sport Maxx Race 2 in 295/30R20 and 325/30R21. Those will fit and have the EXACT same diameter as your OE tyres. You gain the softer and stickier compound with more tread patch all around. As for weight, I would actually take a guess that they would be lighter than what you currently have. That would be a package that would seriously outperform the stock MPSS setup.
