Really? I did think the front was a bit weird. The rear looks good though. They are saying it's a 250 SWB Competizione. https://www.instagram.com/p/CTFLbbFiCkh/ Image Unavailable, Please Login
If it's not a replica then the pix must have been heavily photoshopped, that grille is not right. Other elements too. Maybe the driver, fchatter Bjoern Schmidt, will tell us more? Serial number? Bjoern, over to you. Marcel Massini
It suffers the same thing as 0402AM. The grille opening is too flat at the bottom. Chassis number is 09663.
Hi Marcel, this is definitely no replica but Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta Competizione s/n 2025GT coming fresh out of complete restoration and certification. The restoration was organized via Joe Macari who did the mechanicals while bodywork etc. was done in Maranello all supervised by Ferrari Classiche. In the restoration process we managed to re-unite the car with its matching no.'s engine which was formerly installed in 1953GT while 1953GT got its original matching no.'s engine back, too. I agree that from some angles the grille does look a little bit different to other cars, but if you look on period pictures while raced by Lualdi, Conti etc. it already was the same. According to Ferrari Classiche the bodywork is still original. This car can easily be recognized on period pictures because it is (AFAIK) the only one with these special Alfa Romeo style door knobs and other details which should be unique to this car. I have more than 100 historic photos from period racing which I would love to post here, but I respect copyrights. And yes, it's me driving 2025GT in the pictures posted on instagram. Regards Bjoern
As said before, this car is 2025GT, certified and matching no.'s and has zero to do with a number "09663".
Giordano Diena and Andrea Silingardi, sons of the founders of Sport Auto Modena. Photo taken decades ago, I expect that the cars are genuine.
Thank you Bjoern. My apologies. Below some of my photos I took when I last inspected 2025 GT on 14 July 2014, plus some early pix.
