Aussie is gunna be foiked if folk like this are allowed to keep breathing: This family of five allegedly drove into Queensland from Melbourne through inland highways. “Unfortunately, this family is refusing to be tested and so far is not co-operating with authorities and refusing to reveal where they’ve been,” Ms D’Ath told parliament. “However, we do know the children in this family did attend school on 31 August at the Australian International Islamic College in Carrara. “In light of these developments in Logan and on the Gold Coast, we’re encouraging anyone in these LGAs to get tested and isolate until they receive their results.”
And when they came to Australia who could have predicted that? What a joke. Political correctness will kill our children, and grand children. And people will ask, why was this allowed to happen? Couldn't they see what would happen?
If an anglo/jewish/greek/Italian/asian/etc australian family refused to cooperate you can bet the tabloid media would be camping on their doorstep and humiliating them every day on TV. But one ethnic/religious group alone is unnamable and untouchable.
You mean Muslims, the followers of the Paedophile Prophet? Yeah, can't upset them, they don't take criticism well. I opine its worth a bit of taxpayer money to slam them into quarantine right away and then spend a little more and deliver them back to Chairman Dan.
One of the many senseless aspects of this pandemic is that people test positive and are then told to stay home, where they share the infection with their family. If a person tested positive for TB or Ebola, they would be grabbed by a team in hazmat suits within hours and transported to a bio-secure facility. How can politicians talk about "the beast" of Delta on one hand, then treat it like the flu on the other? If we quarantined every positive person, surely we wouldn't need to have the overwhelmingly healthy population in lockdown.
Six months ago, the third shot was a "conspiracy theory". Now we're talking fourth shot ? https://www.timesofisrael.com/israel-offers-covid-booster-shot-to-all-eligible-for-vaccine/
I empathize with your work mate John. We're a blended family, as you know, with 5 kids between 17 - 24. Some are handling it better than the others, but all are really feeling the effects of this latest lock down. My youngest (17yo) is in her final year of school and really feels isolated from her friends. She says their feeling it too and she keeps asking me when things will start to open up and when I think we can have visitors again? Questions that I just can't answer and it just eats me up inside... It's another ones birthday in a couple of weeks (turning 22) She's the most social of all and is really feeling it. She works in retail as well as studies and with shops closed, hasn't worked for weeks now. She asked what our thoughts were if 3 of her best mates were to come over for a few drinks for her birthday... it broke our hearts to say no... I don't like to use the term 'mental health' loosely either mate, but it is appropriate. Seeing your loved ones clearly not at their best is tough. The most important thing is to keep an honest and open dialogue with them. We also need keep ourselves in check so that we can be there for them! Lucky I am a patient person.....
