I live in Gig Harbor WA (near Seattle), I think Ive narrowed my search for fun family car (wife, 11 month old, dog) to either the FF or GTC4. Coming from mostly Porsche's and an F430 stick, I'm in a weird place of Taycan Cross Turismo or V12 Ferrari goodness....wife is onboard with either.

I'm leaning towards V12 heavily while they're still available, Ive also gone through every thread I could find here involving the potential issues with both cars, as well as car seat (rear facing) recommendations. I've watched pretty much every review on both cars, tested any vehicle that sort of aligns with the approach (E-63S Wagon found it lacking in emotion and didnt like turbo).

I'm wondering if there are any Seattle based owners who wouldn't mind meeting up so I can experience the size, packaging, seat position and any ergonomic issues we may have with buying a car remotely, as there is a dearth of local F-cars?

I've driven multiple versions of the Taycan at this point, 4S Cross Turismo is where I landed. I'm thinking with the software issues Porsche is having with Taycan, I'd like to wait until .2 is released.....and just keep an FF or GTC4-ever!

I have a Cayman R for the weekends, really miss driving fun cars with the family and occasional road trips back to San Francisco.

    Thanks in advance,
    Shawn

Rear facing on the Lusso is no bueno for anything outside of an infant seat. Front face is great. Loading kids in isn't so bad, I actually think it's easier than loading them into a 4 door sedan given the vantage point with the seat folded up. Toddler is super comfortable and loves the view.

Here's our little guy napping while the Lusso's Brooke Race Exhaust howls away beneath him. In case anyone's searching, this seat is a 2020 vintage Nuna Exec.

The wife and I are thinking rear-facing in right rear passenger seat with her sitting behind me. Front passenger seat would get pushed way forward to accommodate. Do you think this is workable?

We are both 5'7" and I usually sit close to the steering wheel.

*Side note, do either/both the FF or Lusso have the sticky button issues, I paid a pretty penny to have mine fixed on the 430?

Carseat wise we are currently looking at:
    • Graco SlimFit3 LX 3-in-1
    • Diono Radian 3RXT
    • Britax Advocate ClickTight Convertible Car Seat
I'll add the Nuna EXEC All-In-One to our list....

All Ferraris have sticky buttons (including the FF and AFAIK, Lusso). It comes with the territory.

Ugh I'm finally getting my first sticky button on the reverse button :(

I'm probably gonna try to figure out how hard it'll be to get a 3d printed replacement and just share the .STL file

Definitely workable if she's willing to sit in the back, for a usability standpoint. Loading a rear facing will be generally be pretty challenging if it's not an infant seat. We basically tried to stick with a rear facing infant seat as long as possible until we could turn to front facing and move to a convertible seat.

Whatever finish is on the buttons feels like it will eventually get sticky. I think the Roma and SF90 are the interiors that eliminate the soft touch coating.

I won’t jinx myself with the sticky issue on the Lusso. Child seats front facing are a breeze. I have 2. Rear facing is a huge PIA. Did it for a short while and always chose the truck after doing it a couple times. YMMV.

There is nothing comparable to a V12 though….

@FerRrari just sold his Seattle based FF. I think he even had 2 kids seats in his car. He might know someone though who could help you out.

I don’t think FoS has any lussos or FFs at the moment. They’ve had a lusso for awhile, but not sure if it’s still there or not.

1 rear facing seat is no problem, you just need to step into the back of the car to bring the child in through the center into the seat. 2 rear facing seats would be a big challenge.
We used a Dino 3RXT and a Nuna Rava. No issues at all in the front with space and I'm 6'2".

I have to say it is great to see that people actually uses there FFs and Lussos - no garage queen!

Think if I would have grown up in a FF/Lusso - that would just have been so great!

We were just having a rear facing seat discussion in another thread, I posted several photos of a new seat I got that's the best fit I could find (Cybex Aton-2), might want to check it out here
    https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/rear-facing-child-seat-in-a-gtc4lusso.628918/

If you've never sat in one, you will surprised on how much space there is. I'm 6'1 and my wife's 5'9, no problem in any way. Here's my gang in the back (old rear facing seat), and some competition for you @FerRrari :D

For my rear facing seat I always strap the baby in the seat before putting it in the car, makes it much easier for me. If I had to put the baby in after putting in the seat then yes it would be a pita.
