I'm trying to build my test pipes to replace the cats and I'm having a hard time sourcing the exhaust flanges that are on on the ends of the cats. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Pretty sure I got mine from Summit. I don't recall having any trouble finding them. The only thing was that they were flat so I had to grind chamfers on one side for the donut seals. I'll see if I can dig up the receipt.

Thank you. The only thing that I was able to locate are some SS from Mandrel Bends at $24 each and a hefty shipping cost :(

You did a really nice job with it. Unfortunately my car is an 82 and has the 1.75" pipes.

Oops sorry my mistake, I went out and measured one of the old Cats and mine is 1 3/4 inch OD just like yours. I think the single pipe '84/85 is 2 inch.

Paul, now I'm lost!! The parts number for the flange is good but it's a 2". How did you manage?

Look closely at the picture you'll see the mount holes are elongated so they will fit a range. Also the donut seals have enough play to fit over the 2 inch pipe, they don't seal on the pipe, they seal on the flange chamfer. It's been working for me for a couple of years now, no issues. Those are spring loaded joints, no need for absolute precision so long as you get a seal. It's only 1/8th inch each side (1/4 total)

Also, if you calculate the circular area the '84/'85 QV's need a 2.5 inch pipe to have same throughput as the dual 1.75 inch pipes..
