I'm with you on that one Dan. R53 is a really good car - a few years ago, it was't too hard finding a good low mileage R53 Cooper S. Now, really scarce. The major service on them is very pricey as you have remove the front end. I couldn't buy any other modern Mini personally except the original Frank Stephenson design. I think the exterior and interior are bang on. I'd love a black JCW example. I drove the electric version recently and that was a really good drive. I just couldn't get past the overall looks, although some of the detailing is nice.
