Within next two years, I'm planning to get a used Ferarri model (23'/24') and new Lamborghini Huracán sometime next year, but I've heard that owning another super car, especially a Lamborghini, takes you out of consideration of being selected. How true is this? I prefer Ferrari, but the Lamborghini is sexy, as well.

It is a grueling process, especially when purchasing pre-owned Ferraris from non-franchise dealers, can't be too careful.

Best to stick with Kia and Honda, they are not so difficult to work with.

Not sure if troll or not.....but I'll answer for you. No, it does not. Obviously many clients own multiple cars from multiple brands.

Ferrari checks your past car ownership history.. If they find you have owned any model of lamborghini you will be stricken from the list.

Not only that..Santa is notified of your transgressions, and you will immediately be placed on the naughty list for 5 years.

    The choice is yours.

I HEARD from a reliable source that once you place an order , Ferrari will send out THE SQUAD to confirm you are able to up hold the name. Means associating with the right people, wearing the correct clothes, eating at the best restaurants, having a professional job, NO other super cars . Ferrari has an image to maintain and their not going to sell a car to some common sales person. It has nothing to do with money, strictly imageo_O

I have both Ferraris and Lamborghinis, generally without issue. The real burden is that they cannot be garaged together.; in the wild they are natural enemies. If in doubt, remember that timing belts and wings do not mix.

It is possible to garage together, but, they must not see the other, just in case, cages are recommended

None of this makes any sense. You state that you are not a troll, but I find that really hard to believe.

Who exactly is the person who told you this nonsense? And even IF Ferrari had some kind of "Selection process", which they don't, how could that affect buying used? If anything, rolling up in a Lambo will instantly assure the dealer about your financial status. On top of that, they would love to get you into a Ferrari rather than a Lamborghini.

Then you proceed to say that you prefer Ferrari, but you want to purchase a new Lambo because they are so sexy? What the serious F?
Why don't you start by buying a new Ferrari and then buy a used Lambo?

I have never heard of anyone who's an adult, who's serious about a possible purchase, being so off the wall.

I don't believe you are a serious buyer. Normally people who are, have enough sense to just make an appointment with a dealer and take it from there.

Don't forget always to park next to a Porsche or Lamborghini. That way you avoid bird dirt on the Ferrari.:D

Please direct your attention to the passenger side of the bonnet on the Porsche as an example. I'm so glad I parked next to the beetle:D

If you look closely, I believe it is he engine itself that is off-center. Perhaps to balance weight of the fuel tank, oil sump, coolant tank and battery?

    The Saturday Train Wreck thread!!

    Strong work, you guys...........

I walked in to San Antonio dealership and was met with a cheerful:
"Are you ready for a (newer) Ferrari????"

But only because I had parked my Toyota Tacoma work truck "way off to the side" where it wasn't visible thru the front windows....
    :D :D

As the Lambo SUV is a "truck" that approach should work for you
