Maserati MC20

I have my dealer's only allocation , I'm hesitantly excited

 

No, its not an emission problem....
But it can be solved!

 

Does anybody have a european spec and price list and could provide it to me please? I got offered a car which seems to be due for delivery next week and need to decide if I pull the trigger or let it go.

Very odd dare I say haphazard delivery. WTF?

 

Have they actually started delivery in the US? Seems like there was a lot of poor planning and execution on Maserati’s part.

 

Very poor communication from Maserati thus far. I have an early production US car and the dealer has shared little. They said they’d update me after 9/1 (presumably following the factory summer break) and so far I haven’t heard anything.

I’m still excited for the car and am happy to see the first year US production is spoken for.

Why would they drop it off on the side of the road? Should be delivered to a dealer. Something weird here. Maybe the truck broke down.

 

not really, it’s about the location of the dealership and access for the trucks. I’ve seen cars off loaded in the middle turning lane due to the limited size of the dealership lot and its location.

 

Oh look what just fell off a truck ...

Yup. I took delivery of my racecar and Espada from California this way. The Espada they put in the parking lot but the race car they insisted I pull out since it had the rear fiberglass bumper damaged during auction in Monterey. They had photos of that. With a puck style racing clutch and a roll cage I had to climb through that was really fun! All on the roadside of a very busy route 22 with lots of semis flying by.

I assume these MC20s aren't really customer but rather dealer deliveries.

 

You can see its a Maserati dealership but mainly Lexus. Still very odd to drop off at $250K car on the side of a road.

 

Ferrari as well.
I wonder how they get Lexus & Ferrari vehicles delivered?

I spoke with Jim Ellis Maserati yesterday am. They confirmed a few allotments this year, all spoken for, and that the first 2 would be delivered early fall. So, any day now really. That said, they confirmed poor communication from Italy. Shocker.

Today I was told by a Maserati official that the first cars (non-pre-production!) are on the way to their customers.

So far ... Anthracite is the best looking color on this car. Not surprising given the excessive amount of black body parts on this car.

 

Honestly I don't like the 3 colors they have shown this car in so far. I do like this Metallic Gray. Still hoping for Metallic Red someday. Black with the red striped interior would be amazing.

 

Metallic red is an option.

I would like to see a MC20 with the MC12 pearl/blue color scheme. Perhaps they are holding that color scheme for a future Corsa version.

Agree with this. Other than the gray, the launch palette is missing some muted/richer colors that would work well for a more subdued GT config
