BTW- Scrappy- Nardo Orange calipers? Would compliment the exterior color nicely. No?

SoCal did you line up a 992 GT3 PTS in the same color as your 765 Spider?

No- not the same color. PTS Signal Yellow due for end of January delivery. My 765 sort of compliments my Pista (sort of kinda of). Porsche totally different.

Congrats on getting a PTS allocation; they are somewhat limited and that Signal Yellow is a beautiful shade!

Ty. I was debating between a version of green and yellow but it seems that every one and their mother seems to be doing a version of green if they can get a PTS color. So I thought my wife wand I love yellow so let’s do yellow car.

Agree. But I’m doing black PCCB calipers. The speed yellow calipers don’t match signal yellow and my ocd would drive me nuts. So we went with black pccb calipers.

Black calipers. Nardo and volcano orange are quite different.

Have to say that Mclaren makes the best paints by far. Fairly reasonable as well.

The flec in supernova solar and ignot (sp) black are NUTS. First time I saw the black in person was last weekend. It’s crazy. Supernova is so bright you can’t stare directly at it in the sun.

BTW- the 765 configurator is up. I have to say they have done such a good job with the configurator how you can move the car around, animate the roof opening and closing as well as the doors. Its not as good as the MSO configurator where you can literally change any option to any color but of all the major configurators out there- Mclaren right now is tops IMHO:

Just like my Carrera White. Blinding. Because of the whiteness. It obviously does not have any metal flakes.

Please don't "flame" me and tell me to go to Rennlist :)

Anyone have a view on whether Porsche will do a 992 GT2RS?

I consider that to be a forgone conclusion. The question is whether it will also include hybrid assist as I believe they package protected for it in the 992 platform. Also a question whether it will happen in the 992.1 or wait until the 992.2. My guess is the latter.

Usually 2rs comes at the end of a cycle. So after 992.2 or in about 6 years.

Next year is 3rs. Then the .2 version of both. Then 2rs. So yeah you have a while to go.

@cadster there are 2 STOs at Charolette. I was just there and got to check them out. 1 white eand 1 black. Black one got stealth film on it. They were able to do one piece on the front clip but not the rear. Overall a great looking job from what I saw.

765LT - No. Never own a McLaren before. Carbon tub frame and it's probably the most track-focused McLaren out of the outgoing 720s platform except for the Senna. However, not special enough. Not gonna pick.
Pista - Currently owning one. Love the design. Very comfortable on the road; very balance on the track while adjusting the heights, corner balance and alignment right. Don't like the soft suspension at lower speed tight corner. Love the power and transmission. And finally, so so so so beautiful.
AMG GT Black Series - Not interesting. Very fast laptimes for sure, but could get overheat according to Car and Driver. Would pick a 765LT or even Pista for track. Does not look sepcial enough too. Used to own a Viper ACR. GT Black is another level for sure, but still feels like a idea-knockoff.
STO - Might consider. Seen in person. Looks cool and better than press pictures online. Driven for a while on street. Don't really like the transmission calibration with the engine. At lower speed it shifts slow and clunky. Love the exhaust sounds, way better than the cars mentioned above. The aero design while being cool, it is way too exaggerated.
If I want add another car at this level, might consider GT2 RS. Never own a rear engine car. Wanna take it to track more. Or a SVJ for its styling, amazing V12 sounds.

I do have some questions: a. Is 765LT solved the problem that 720s has when tracking it could have its engine overheating? b. Do you think 765LT drives better on track compared with Pista or GT2 RS? I have not driven 765 yet

To me the Pista felt softer than the 765 on the track and the brakes not nearly as good. I also got a bit of turbo lag between 3rd and 4th with the Pista that I don't feel in the 765. With this said they are both fantastic. I didn't push too hard with my 765, maybe 60% of my ability so no issue with over heating. Personally I prefer to track my race car vs. my street cars. This is not to say I won't take the street cars out but I'm not pushing them the same.
