    Cut the bubble wrap into two strips? One strip around the nose, forward of the mirrors, one strip around the cockpit and back of the car to the rear of the mirrors. Build it up to provide padding thicker than the mirrors stick out, and then tape keeping the two wraps from sliding off away from each other. :)

    Exactly....I recently found a roll of shipping padding outside a defunct business.

    It's 36" wide, and a three feet in diameter!!!
    I got this covered.....

    It's gonna look like a white foam football (and I do have some 1:18 boxes, then will peanut and box that...
    No worries my man!!!!

    I dove in to a closed Box Store dumpster, and grabbed THREE rolls, it looked like I as delivering some Charmin to the Jolly Green Giant, as my little truck trundled home with the stash.....

    The two boxes fit perfectly into an ARAI helmet box, you will laugh when you see the adaptive reuse of the FRAGILE and TOP logos....

    I bought some IKEA style/Storehouse bookcases that offered a lower soild door and an upper Glass Door option, then added cut glass shelves to make a nice display unit!


    I have five...of them ..LOL
